I think we would have won by more had King or even Caminiti played.

Players under pressure coming into the game:
Butler, tick.
Gresham, tick.
Cordy, half a tick.

I'm interested in joining the fanboy club
Yep. You got me
Do I just have to believe everything he says (you know...just like when you join a cult) or is there some sort of initiation ceremony?

He’s a good coach
At my age I’m not a fanboy of anyone
We are going well
Perspective - we were 5-1 last season
Long way to go - but a great start to the season

I like Byrnes' desperation and run. Will be surprised if Lyon drops him.

He was excellent once we got on top, the first half he was very ordinary IMO. I don’t like the way he spits the dummy at his teammates when he stuffs up. It’s pretty transparent.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Blues Round 6 2023
Ronnie was very good- has to be in the votes. Loose ground ball wins by Byrnes in the last quarter were amazing.
Ben Paton important. He was brave a few times with intercept s in front of McKay and C Curnow.
Battle actually fought on well as did the guys in the backline
Owens, Membrey and Marshall inspirational
Clark Butler and Wood kept us in it in the first half
Sebby, Hill, and Sincs just unbelievable work rate from these guys. Great leadership
And just on leadership...Steele actually provided good run in that last half of the game and curbed the influence of Patty Cripps

Wilkie was much quieter today and people's attention switched to Dougal. He was very good, excellent second half.

Curly! Either do your homework or go stand in the corner. You are obviously fixated on the umpires because you are not watching the efforts of players that fly under the radar, like Byrnes.
He ran 15 kilometres during the game, the second highest distance of any player on the ground (Wood ran 15.5!) And collected 20 possessions. Most of his hard running was in defence, one of the reasons the dirty, rotten Blues could only kick 8 goals.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Blues Round 6 2023
Brownlow votes will be interesting from this game
Carlton had all the ball winners
But StK weee the better team
My guess
Sinclair 3
Cripps 2
Walsh 1
