Did a search on the AFL website for injury list and couldn't find.
And is Zac JOnes close?

Re: How close is DMac?
Not necessarily a reliable source, but Joffaboy on BF claimed to have heard that DMac has aggravated the injury several times when attempting to train and was contemplating retirement I hope that’s not true.

He's had one of those careers unfortunately.

On St Kilda injury list as "leg" with an indefinite return.
Allison & McLennan listed as indefinite.

Re: How close is DMac?
If Hannebury can do three years...
..nah...
If that's it for DMac its a terrible shame. Wasn't following the Saints deeply when he came, then he was a seconds player I assumed.
Finally, last year. Bang!
Arrived.
Concussion
Calf, calf, calf...
maybe the famous Dr. Strangelove in Germany can save him?

Re: How close is DMac?
Was interviewed in the Social Club last week and said he hoped to be back in the backend of the season. Didn’t sound good. Made it very clear that there is no timeline at the moment

So what is going on then?IluvHarvey wrote: ↑Sun 16 Apr 2023 9:36pm Was interviewed in the Social Club last week and said he hoped to be back in the backend of the season. Didn’t sound good. Made it very clear that there is no timeline at the moment
Is he having a major operation?
Does something have to heal?
Something must have gone terribly awry in the rehab area.
Know nothing about it but read that grade 3 tears are the very worst, sometimes requiring an op. But even these are six months,
he'll have been out a full 12 months if he makes it back late season.
Poor bugger.

Re: How close is DMac?
Same as Hannebery- once your calf keeps blowing, it’s hard to come back from

A tough decision will need to be made on D Mac, not dissimilar to the one on Hannebery last season!

Re: How close is DMac?
I fear for D-Mac’s career. It was a cruel blow last year, after he fought so hard on improving his game and getting himself back in our best 22. And now this

Re: How close is DMac?
The issue with poor DMac is that his calf has "popped" 14 times in the last 3 years, that mixed with concussion it hasn't been a great run for the bloke. Is a dead set champ though, just been incredibly unlucky

Re: How close is DMac?
The climate of the times is against him.
His Goose maybe cooked.
14 calves and one concussion, can get mixed up in the washing machine and come out looking like, 'another concussion casualty'..

Re: How close is DMac?
Pretty tragic that injuries look to have derailed what was a spectacular rise from liability to lock in the 22. You don't often see someone come back from chronic calf injuries.

Will be delisted end of season
Why would we persist with him?
Taking up a list spot
We need to move 5 on

Misson and Co may have a better idea on what's happening with him and planning accordingly i.e. As RTB said, D-Mac's calf is a "legacy" issue so they may have altered course on aiming to solve the problem long term.
So are 43 other players.
Why 5?

It will bet great if he can.
He was part of the secret sauce last year in that first month.
