Re: Pies are well ...beatable .
I'm not sure they do struggle...Traditionally, they've been better than 50/50 away from Victoria.happy feet wrote: ↑Thu 06 Apr 2023 11:07pm The Skunks don’t travel much, so when they’re away from the MCG they struggle. Poor kicking tonight has cost them the game.
They have, however, always struggled at the Gabba.
They do look a different team without a ruckman.

Re: Pies are well ...beatable .
They lost by 33 points and had a fair bit of help from the umps, particularly in the last quarter. For mine, their much-vaunted backline looked pretty vulnerable.Moods wrote: ↑Fri 07 Apr 2023 11:54amCompletely disagree. Pies hung in there all night. 2nd quarter was poor but they had more inside 50’s and more scoring shots. Not saying they should have won ( because they weren’t the best team) but they won the first quarter and really just got smashed in the 2nd. That can happen interstate against a top teammeher baba wrote: ↑Fri 07 Apr 2023 9:12am The Pies clearly have a soft underbelly: when they can't get their running game going properly, they seem almost to panic and look like they could potentially go completely to pieces. They don't have a lot of scrappers in their side: Sidebottom and Pendlebury of course, but many of the others are downhill skiers.
However, I'm not sure that the Saints, in our injury-riddled state, have the capability to exploit those weaknesses in the way that the Lions demonstrated so well last night. If only Steele was fit...sigh.
Anyway, if we can get past the Suns, the Adelaide game will be quite an event!

Pies ball movement will challenge us
Daicos will get 30+ and their skill level with the ball is better than Bombers
Think it’ll be tough for us tbh

If I was a Roos fan, and I'm certainly not, I would be extremely pissed with the maggots. They ruined what was shaping up to be a good game

Agree thats why we will have to win the ball at the coal face. They have huge numbers that just take off forward even before they win the ball, they back themselves in so much. We just have to win it in close and it will be the same against GCS.

Even at way less than our best side it’s Lyon’s defence Vs Pies “go forwards” at any cost
IF we bring the pressure the goals from turnovers could be interesting
I don’t care if we don’t win tbh ….but I’ll be wrapt if our game plan stands up…that’ll tell me when get our best on the park…lookout!

Should be in All Australian discussions this year the way he's travellingThe Fireman wrote: ↑Fri 07 Apr 2023 11:27pm I reckon Marshall will have a day out against the Skunks.
Unless Luke Darcy gets a vote. Pencil in Tim English instead
...AND....unless Cameron Ling gets a vote again this year. He'll slot Blicavs in
Both these blokes shouldn't get a vote. They run multiple businesses and footy is not their priority
Luke has another 3 kids apart from the adult Sam. Luke is also on the board of the Western Bulldogs. Ling has 3 young kids
They don't have time to watch 9 games of footy every week

Edit ...Darcy doesn't but Ling still gets a vote (??)
Does he actually watch any other games apart from Geelong or the ones he gets paid to watch when he's dribbling on 7

More Pie drama https://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/new-l ... 56a783be42
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.
