Mason Wood injury

Post: # 2000477Post magnifisaint »

Where is the confirmation?
Interesting how most on here regarded him as pretty useless last year. He always looked to have ability.

Only those who don't see a thoroughbred when it (he) is right in front of their eyes.

Anyway he was great in the second half of last year and several had him in the starting lineup for 2023.

Media report (SEN?) saying maybe his injury isn't as bad as first thought ..... so maybe not 6-8 weeks as initially reported

Xrays aren't good enough. We need an MRI.

Fantastic news that he is a test this week.
Those posters that love posting bad news are very annoying

The StK website has Wood rated as 'test' for this week and a 'sniff' to play against GC.

Webster out 5-6

Yes exactly. Bummer for Jimmy. He's having a rough run. But that's great if Mason is available or only one week. Has become a crucial player and no-one really like for like.

My understanding is that the decision will be made to either

1 Operate now, weeks out
2 Keep playing and assess after the bye, apparently the injury cannot get any worse

If you are referring to Wood then keep playing him, wait for some others to come back and then get him into surgery. The way he's playing he could do it on one shoulder.

I've got the impression that Mason Wood's entire career has been plagued with some good form, then injury then inconsistency.
