Re: Wood is Elite!
Except for when he gets confused as to who his teammates are and who are the opposition, mucked up a couple of times early.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Best on ground.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Re: Wood is Elite!
Vortex says it was a dissapointing win .
Mason got himself into an injury situation and should have done better ..Stocker had a great game but turned the ball over once and should be dropped...the bombers where going to thrash us and should hold their heads I n shame ..overall a disappointing thrashing ..we need to do better.

Re: Wood is Elite!
The last half of 2022 and then this year he's really been building and playing career best football.
An injury like this will really stuff him .
Cmon footy gods give us an effing break

Re: Wood is Elite!
He's playing the best football of his career. Extremely professional, will bounce back. A best 22 player with a full list. 3-0 means we do not need to rush whatever recovery he requires. Another opportunity for a kid or a player desperate for a AFL career, they need to draw inspiration from him.

Re: Wood is Elite!
Huge game. 6 x i50's, 7 x Score Involvements, 2 tackles inside 50, 9 x intercept marks and good DE @ 74%.
27 (Total) 21 (Kicks) 6 (Hb) 11 (Marks) 3 (Tackles) 0 (Hit outs) 2 (Clearances) * 592 (Metres Gained)
* highest individual effort for both teams

Re: Wood is Elite!
A brief aside, but I wonder if Wood had some extra motivation to show his old coach Brad Scott what he's actually capable of. I don't generally buy into that sort of stuff, but his game was so bloody good that you've got to wonder.
It was such an all round game. Busting through packs and winning contested footy, taking pack marks and flying down the wing. What an asset if we can keep getting the best out of him.

Bloody amazing and really needed, and his interview on 7 post game gives me heart that he'll be just as good when he returns. Time for a few others to step up to the podium.

Thought he was BOG.
Didn’t notice the injury at the game, when did it happen?
