More like 16 weeks out or even season over.
The fracture might heal in 12 weeks and 4-12 weeks to build up conditioning.

So Windy is not gonna be sub?
Bytel and then Jones get a run?
And possibly Owens gets some on ball time?

This makes structure interesting.
If Marshall is dominant and you want Steele the play maker to be replaced, you might run Phillipou with Crouch and Gresh, if you want the bull, Owens, Ross and Windy.
The year of Discovery. We are gonna discovery just how good Sinclair is I reckon and by years end, we will probably be able to run up to 14 blokes through the middle out of 23.

That's 2 players injured in 2 games - that's crazy. But I expect the club will take that on the chin as it has all the many other injuries since the start of the pre-season, and rise to the occasion, meet the challenges head on and continue to play a very good brand of football.

Yeah and they said Max would be good for R1, he's now listed as 6 to 9 weeks away.
Standard PR strategy to give a positive outlook, will be way more than 4 weeks.

This injury is a whole lot better than needing a shoulder reco, which is what I feared last night.

Re: Fractured Clavicle 8-12 weeks for Steele
I'm sorry only for one person, and that's Jack Steele...
Because the opportunities keep presenting themselves.
Brad Crouch - are you really ready to be our #1 midfielder?
Marcus Windhager - can you match the hype?
Ryan Byrnes - can you become a nailed on, best 22 mid?
Jack Bytel - are you ready or not to seize the day?
Hunter Clark - have you really improved that much?
Seb Ross - how much is left in the tank?
These guys all have question marks of various kinds. They all get a chance to answer them. I'm really liking it how much exposure our second string is getting.
And I'm loving how they're all stepping up and preparing to fight their way into our best 22. I can feel the momentum building, I can feel the preparedness to fight surging.
We're adding red hot competition for places - this is the secret to competing at the very top level of the sport. Suddenly, some of these guys who aren't back won't be able to cruise back in. They'll have a serious fight on their hands.

Re: Fractured Clavicle 8-12 weeks for Steele
A clavicle fracture can take between 4-12 weeks to heal enough to allow the arm full extension.
But no none can fully heal quicker than 8-16 weeks. Its just not possible.
Its alot to do with Jack. If he sticks to keeping the arm immobile in a sling for at least 14-20 days. I mean absolutely immobile. It can respond to 1-2 weeks of physio and carve off 2-4 weeks of rehab.
We often see athletes do this and return within 28-35 days...although there is an avg 10% re-injury.
Hopefully he sticks the recovery & rehab and hes back asap!

It's a collar bone, not a clavicle.....

Re: Fractured Clavicle 8-12 weeks for Steele
saint-lee knows of what he speaks - a clavicle by any other name still takes the same time, plating can make an 8 week side-line shorter as it stabilises the fracture.
the invisible and the non existent look very much alike
