Can I call this prediction "We win more games without King than with him" and claim it for my own?samoht wrote: ↑Wed 08 Mar 2023 8:30am Our forward line becomes more unpredictable and productive, with six players given equal status and being fully enabled to play their role and coordinate their efforts ... but our side falls back to being too King focussed, one-dimensional and easy to defend against, after the great man returns.
One prediction each.

Since the start of 2020, we have won every game that Max has not played.Otiman wrote: ↑Wed 08 Mar 2023 8:13pmCan I call this prediction "We win more games without King than with him" and claim it for my own?samoht wrote: ↑Wed 08 Mar 2023 8:30am Our forward line becomes more unpredictable and productive, with six players given equal status and being fully enabled to play their role and coordinate their efforts ... but our side falls back to being too King focussed, one-dimensional and easy to defend against, after the great man returns.

Re: One prediction each.
We will struggle in the first half of the year but will finish strongly as the players learn how to implement Ross's game plan and our list hopefully gets healthier.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

If Gold Coast tumble down the ladder there may be one more. Can’t see either of the Scott boys facing the firing squad.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

I think we can both claim this prediction now.Otiman wrote: ↑Wed 08 Mar 2023 8:13pmCan I call this prediction "We win more games without King than with him" and claim it for my own?samoht wrote: ↑Wed 08 Mar 2023 8:30am Our forward line becomes more unpredictable and productive, with six players given equal status and being fully enabled to play their role and coordinate their efforts ... but our side falls back to being too King focussed, one-dimensional and easy to defend against, after the great man returns.
Without rubbing salt in the wound.
Stats with King - 7 games, 3 wins, 4 losses
Stats without King - 9 games, 6 wins, 3 losses

A bit premature don't you think?
‘Predictions’ and results usually get assessed at the end of home and away
The season isn’t over for the team…like it is for Max

Re: One prediction each.
I guess it remains to be seen if we can have a more efficient forward structure without Max, but what I saw of a forward line with King as the focal point, samoht's point is valid.

Re: One prediction each.
Not necessarily. King was showing good signs and you have to factor in that most players who return after long term injuries can take up to 12 months or so to get back to their best form.
By the way, your prediction only came good because of default…and not because the theory was fully tested for the whole year
