2023 AFL Tipping Competiton

Post: # 1994377Post Sanctorum »

Greg Newman, that erstwhile die-hard and long time Saints member and supporter in Brisbane has once again launched his first-class 'Newman's AFL Footy Tipping Competition' for the 2023 season starting on Thursday March 16:

https://myfootytipping.com/tipping/rules-prizes/

Believe me, Newman's tipping comp is so much better than the corporate ones that are available online, not least that it's organised by a through and through St Kilda person for Saints supporters - though not exclusively because the more the merrier and the bigger the money pot. The other strong advantage of this tipping comp is that there are weekly cash prizes as well as the main prize at the end of the season for the highest number of winning games tipped.

To enter will set you back just $50 for the 23 games which quite a few people won back (and more) when they won one of the weekly prizes.

It should also be noted that every single dollar paid in fees goes into the prize pool.......

Please pass this link on to any family or friends that might be interested, it can be played on phone, tablet or PC and Greg sends out weekly results by email.

GO SAINTS!!!

Greg has just emailed all of the tipsters that joined his comp last year and following are the full details that may help you to sign up befor Round 1 on March 16:

"Assuming that we have about 80 tipsters for this season the rules and rewards will remain the same.

Best tipster each round wins $90. 2nd prize is $30. Plus there will be cash prizes at the end of the home and away season for the Top 5 Tipsters (Based on tipping the winning teams).

Some of you who are new to this competition - here are the basic rules.

To place your tips go to:

myfootytipping.com/tipping/dashboard/

First - select the team that you think will win. Second - select the winning margin. You have three choices.

A close game or a draw (0-15 points), a reasonable win (15-30 points) or a big win (31+ points).

Then press 'Submit Result'.

For a win you get 2 points - if you guess the correct winning margin - you get 1 point. A bonus 2 points if you pick all winners.

NEW TIPSTERS will have to register.

Go to: https://myfootytipping.com/tipping/rules-prizes/ and click on 'Registration'.

If you can encourage family or friends to take part - that would be great as each year we always lose some tipsters.

PAYMENT. A one off annual $50 fee. Pay by EFT:
G James BSB Number: 084391 Account Number: 556561946 (NAB)."

If the numbers swell to more than 80 the prizemoney will increase proportionally, every dollar goes into prizemoney!!!

Thanks for the endorsement Sanctorum! Love to have some new 'players' on board in 2023. I'm sure you'll find this competition a bit more fun and interesting to the standard 'AFL' tipping comps.

As a positive, even if you missed tipping for a bunch of weeks due to illness, forgetfullness or a long holiday ... you can jump back in place your tips and you could win $90 - get your money back and make $40.
