I reckon Warner will come out and get a quick fire 11 runs before smirking and sauntering back to the pavilion.

15 actually. Off 44 odd balls, but you were right about the smirk.

Getting to dislike Davey boy.

Labuschagne only took 13 balls for his 16

The entire group was mentally beat before they started. I have never seen a group of Australian Cricketers so bamboozled by spin bowling they simply have NFI.

I'm sitting with a pommy fella, loves his cricket, on the roof top of a hotel in Phnom Pehn. Wif-fi is spotty.

I turn on the cricket 0/50..I boast..

"Show me" , he says

Wi-fi drops out..back on .1/50.

Then I check again 1/88.

At last...finally..steady as she goes..

Wi-fi flickers off and on... 3/91..Marnus and Smith in three balls...

Head..has a head on his shoulders...we'll be right..

Nup..

On no...

As I try to fathom while Boland was dropped. We have one pace bowler.
Never in my life have a seen an Australian team with one pace bowler.
Not even a Dougie Walters type.. Unbelievable...

Cummings might open with two spinners..
Shane! Brilliant.

Warner is becoming a perfect example of the old line, it's harder to get out of the Aussie cricket team than it is to get in it.

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Don’t think I’ve ever seen the Aussies pick a side like this!

The Green injury is really hurting the balance of the side. I think with Head and his spin coming in they could have played 2 pacemen.

Would have picked Boland ahead of Cummings for economy ..but what message does that send if you drop the captain

Not a good one, especially when the captain is the No 1 ranked bowler in the world.

Warner is behaving like he's finished, although his figures are that bad (ranked no 20).

Wagner

So far, 2/104

Off 11 Overs

In a Test Match

And one of those wickets was the night watchman

Went to “Milo Cricket” this morning with one of the Grand-sons

The turf deck was better than served up in India for Test matches

Mind you the old used pitch was as served up in India

We trust our spin resources (and Cummins) can thank India for the opportunity, but in reality we have Lyon plus 2 who have played 3 Tests between them (including this one) versus batsmen well versed at batting on the decks the Indians served up

Plus, in the Second Innings we need more than just 2 contributors with the bat - noting Cummins contribution

So more runs from 1 or 2 or more of Warner, Labuschagne, Smith, Head and Carey to compliment Khawaja and Hanscomb

Even 30’s or 40’s instead of just double figures (or less for Smith and Carey who did not trouble the scorer - it happens just not in both innings of the same match we trust)

Get some wickets, put them under pressure and 500 across the 2 Innings may get us there

600 would be a bonus

250 not traditionally a good first innings total, but on these turning pitches I think it’s very competitive.

Just need the bowlers to back it up now, Lyon has started well and the others are looking dangerous.

Interesting also Warner is now out of the Test, replaced by Renshaw.

Lyon after a s*** bowling performance in the last test is finally starting to earn his place in the side.

Clever move by Cummings not to bowl Murphy until now.
The Indians were obviously gonna tear him a new one given half a chance, after what he did to them in the first test.
Hiding him from the Indian eyes (Kohli's too) until some key wickets had fallen stops them from getting a good view of him on this wicket.

The GOAT again showing up the haters and living up to his name, the young blokes bowled well too. Pity we let them get that 100 run partnership (credit to India) giving up our dominant position.

Even-Stevens at the break, but the aggressive batting last night with Head opening (great tactic) has swung it back in our favour.

150 lead puts us in the game, 200+ and we’re favourites. Hopefully they keep up the aggressive mindset 👍

Why didn’t they give Smith a trundle?

Not sure if leg spin is really the go in India, fingerspin seams to be where it’s at.

Maybe Marnus and some medium pacers?

Not sure why they continually feel the need to sweep, you might get couple away but it’s so dangerous.

Renshaw looked absolutely clueless out there, a walking wicket.

Disgraceful batting performance from the Aussies. No better than a schoolboys team. f****** Renshaw should never again play for Australia and the jury is still out on the Handscomb experiment. Think I will stop watching as its so depressing.

Why the f*** would Cummins try to sweep after what he had seen happen to his idiot teammates. Lack of leadership is f****** obvious.

After Carey dismissed trying to sweep one would be forgiven for thinking the Indians are paying the Aussies to look f****** stupid.
