Talk of High profile replacement for Walsh
I have had it on good authority that there is a very high profile football person being talked to for Walsh replacement.
The person mentioned is employed in AFL Football at this point in time.

AFL Football could still mean Clubland.

The missing pillar surely has to be someone that Ross is friends with?

Not sure Elshaug is high profile
Interesting you don’t rate Elshaug (nor do I after McCartin)
But you idolise Lyon, who rates Elshaug as a mentor and even called him to get advice on the StK job.

would it not be a conflict of interest, can the man who typed up the Bassett report put himself up for the main job?

Ross the Boss's Boss.
Is one of the 4 pillars required to be successful according to Ross. So technically one quarter of the main job but still Ross's pretend boss.

Re: Talk of High profile replacement for Walsh
The obvious is David Noble or Neil Balme. If not hopefully we have extracted someone else out of club land like Jason Cripps, Derek Hines, Sam Power, Simon Lloyd or similiar?

The obvious choice is Richo, I could see Ross and Richo working together too.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Sun 05 Feb 2023 2:21pm The obvious is David Noble or Neil Balme. If not hopefully we have extracted someone else out of club land like Jason Cripps, Derek Hines, Sam Power or similiar?

Richo is up there with Balme and makes perfect sense. Will he be a better choice than Mission? Who think is in the box seat.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Sun 05 Feb 2023 2:32pmSurely not??? Re: Talk of High profile replacement for Walsh
Quite taken with the suggestions the "replacement" for Messers Walsh and Mission may be a) the person that sacked Simon L, or b) person that Simon L sacked.
Can't do more inclusive than that.

Gill wants to replace Alan Joyce or be the next GG. Our job he would consider beneath him.

As Noble was appointed CEO of Dick Johnson Racing Supercar outfit about 3 weeks ago, I don't think soImpatient Sainter wrote: ↑Sun 05 Feb 2023 2:21pm The obvious is David Noble or Neil Balme.
