Re: Training reports
Training is going fantastic, nobody jokes around anymore, heaps more professional, coaches are well spread out, clear objectives and lots of loud voices.
Very professional and well drilled, did I mention nobody jokes around anymore, very professional and lots of loud voices and coaches are well spread out.

I think you’re right Teffers, the forum is a much better place now and we don’t need a return to the continuous sniping that went on.Teflon wrote: ↑Wed 25 Jan 2023 11:18pmLet’s keep it to footy Loriloris wrote: ↑Thu 19 Jan 2023 12:01amI think this thread should be sans Vortex & Teflon .,,. Totally agree HappyFeet, loving the consistent way SB is applying the board rules. Keeps everyone talking strictly about the footy and is completely stopping the personal attacks.happy feet wrote: ↑Wed 25 Jan 2023 11:38pmI think you’re right Teffers, the forum is a much better place now and we don’t need a return to the continuous sniping that went on.Teflon wrote: ↑Wed 25 Jan 2023 11:18pmLet’s keep it to footy Loriloris wrote: ↑Thu 19 Jan 2023 12:01amI think this thread should be sans Vortex & Teflon .,,. If you note the date/time that I wrote that post. It was whilst you ‘offenders’ were still seeing who could ‘pee the furthest up the wall’. A week ago, even before I saw St Byron had timely stepped in & said enough is enough.
Yes I agree with you, it’s good to see the forum has turned the corner of late and posts are about footy without the baiting, sniping and ridiculous personal attacks. I trust it remains that way.
Oh & by the way I am in Western Australia, 3 hours behind the Eastern States. The Saintsational clock had just ticked one minute past midnight taking the date into 19 Jan just a few hours after D.B. Cooper had quoted BradWA’s post. Were they ‘Johnny come latelys’ bringing the issue up. Maybe they should be chipped at too.

Maybe you are misunderstanding Lori, perhaps confusion is attributed to the missing (‘s’).loris wrote: ↑Thu 26 Jan 2023 12:40pmPardon Teflon? ‘Johnny come lately’???Teflon wrote: ↑Wed 25 Jan 2023 11:18pmLet’s keep it to footy Loriloris wrote: ↑Thu 19 Jan 2023 12:01amI think this thread should be sans Vortex & Teflon .,,. Perhaps the writer is a Harry Franco aficionado?
But ‘there’s talk on the street’ they’re a fan of Don Henley & Glenn Fry? Perhaps they is censoring your post as there is ‘no fun aloud’ on the forum anymore.
Maybe they’re a ‘dirty rat’ and a Jimmy Cagney fan?
I think that’s about my limit on ‘JCL’ references.

How do you know I can still bop around to the Eagles, New Kid in Town?
Jimmy Cagney, fabulous actor. I once read where Orson Welles (my all time favourite) said, James Cagney was one of the great actors. At the time I thought that was over the top in his praise. Then on reflection I thought, yes Jimmy Cagney could do it all. He played the evil baddy extremely well, he could be the loved, trusted goodie in another role, comedy came naturally to him and he could sing and dance. So I guess Orson Wells knew what he was talking about. Even though I sat through many Jimmy Cagney films, oh so many years ago, alas, I never saw ‘Johnny Come Lately’
You had me stumped with Harry Franco
So had to revert to Google. Now I can’t wait for the next trivial quiz night at someone’s bowls club and I can expertly tell my team the answer to where does the saying JCL come from. Trouble is I’ve never been to a trivial pursuit night in my long, long life, let alone at a bowls club. So I’ll just have to store that interesting bit of info away for who knows when.
Now we must discuss footy on this thread. I’m getting quite excited when I read the training reports from those who attend training about Mattaes Phillipou. When BM doesn’t have a negative word to say about him that’s a good thing IMHO. BM usually has a good eye for what’s required to make it as an AFL footballer (apart from Jamie Cripps!!)
SOS, I’m abit iffy about that new appointment. Still I don’t know the ins & outs of the exact job & what skills he brings to the position. No doubt there will be many Saintsational experts arguing either way on the merits of the appointment. From a female perspective, at least SOS is easy on the eye!
Are you still flitting between the M Peninsula and Gold Coast? Lucky you

Hopefully the hammy injuries are same grade as Novac's. Put a band aid on, good to go. Those European medicos, amazing.

On a positive note though, Coff did most of the session with the main group but was wearing the fluro hat, so he’s nearly there. Kept us tidy down back in some of the match sims. Hasn’t lost his skills.

Re: Training reports
Definitely not a forward line….. mothball time for Sharman.
Infact any player who ventures forward of the midfield - all in mothballs until first game.

Re: Training reports
For those able to get to training, has Max Heath done any work in the forward half? Or is the fact he's not on the injury list mean the answer is "No"?
