To be fair, it would be hard to impact anything at Sandy. The whole setup has been bushleague as far as any player development goes.

Shaking the Sandringham alignment or a complete take over are the last piece in the puzzle to the Saints becoming a completely professional football club. Until then the club are kidding themselves believing elite development can occur at Sandringham FC.
We need to find the financial resources to run a stand alone or a complete take over of a VFL team as soon as possible.

I know what you're saying SP, that's been talked about a lot.
But I'm not sure that Mason Wood will actually be named on the wing or as a mid, in my current team I have him on the 5 man bench - that was before Hayes was injured.
The reason I think he's a chance to play forward is that he has done quite well in attack a few times last year, kicked 13.9. He's a strong grab, beautiful kick and in his time at North he played a lot of games as a forward.
Cooper Sharman lines up as FF in my current team which obviously is subject to change before Rd 1.

I haven't heard the coaches mention Sharmen yet as a possibility, it looks like Allison has gone past him from the comments being made.Sanctorum wrote: ↑Wed 18 Jan 2023 1:21pmI know what you're saying SP, that's been talked about a lot.

Re: Hayes now injured
So it’s the alignment that stopped Sharman from getting a kick at state league level?
Coached by StK coaches, playing with StK players… not sure it has anything to do with it?!
Possibly the fact that he was getting beaten by opponents
In the end he went to the back half - trying to get a kick
Ditto

Sharman is ticking most of the development boxes very quickly.
Started with very good skills. No he is building power and endurance. Plenty said and his improvement was obvious in the three sessions I saw with the 1-3's.

Re: Hayes now injured
Metatarsal breaks aren’t great… 10 week injury means he then needs 6-10 weeks of training after training start to get to a fitness break even. Also surgery means he’ll be on crutches for the 10 weeks with a lot of muscle wastage.
Sam Gilbert had a metatarsal injury a few years back. Came back early and was done for an extended period after reinjuring in the first senior game back.
