Another irony, Longmuir's trademark is defence...Freo became a more defensive team after RTB went, including taggers. (12 seconds research) https://www.google.com/search?client=fi ... ir+tactics
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Freo specifically requested an away fixture Round One in return for securing two banner games in Perth later in the season.Sebastian Tombs wrote: ↑Mon 05 Dec 2022 11:16amPretty safe bet that we will play interstate against Gold Coast or GWS
Wish granted.

Now that we refuse Cairns and China, we can expect less leverage for our 20 million drip feed, you'd guess.

Elsewhere
ex-Saint Ben Long will play successive games against the Swans.
Will be interesting to see if he can get votes again and possibly create trivia question history.

Perth news is saying that Optus is hosting Ed Sheeran shortly before Round 1, and the AFL or Optus folk are worried about the grass not recovering in time.shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Mon 05 Dec 2022 11:30amFreo specifically requested an away fixture Round One in return for securing two banner games in Perth later in the season.Sebastian Tombs wrote: ↑Mon 05 Dec 2022 11:16amPretty safe bet that we will play interstate against Gold Coast or GWS

Re: Round One news...
what's the bad news - very winnable home game round one? i'll be watching it regardless of the day or time. you melbourne peeps just need to do your thing and turn up at the ground. i'll tag with you when we play up in god's country.
bloody heck if melbourne can pack a stadium at 4am to watch a soccer match on tv, why can't we draw a decent crowd on a late sunday arvo?

Re: Round One news...
I thought the AFL got rid of the Sunday 4.40 time slot?
This is ludicrous. Sunday games should be no later than 2pm start.
Won't go, not worth the hassle getting back home ready for work, kids etc by 9pm. Far easier to just stay at home, not worth the hassle.
Really thought we'd play Collingwood against like last year on a sat night.

Re: Round One news...
Yeah so back in the day when games were played on Saturday afternoons and taking the kids to the footy meant letting them go free range out the back of the stands searching for dregs in beer cans and half burnt cigies while you spewed your lungs out in the animal cage. The Fireman wrote: ↑Tue 06 Dec 2022 9:23amLol I have many moons agoBeno88 wrote: ↑Tue 06 Dec 2022 8:09amThe Fireman wrote: ↑Mon 05 Dec 2022 8:47am suck it up ladies.

Re: Round One news...
I'll be driving to the Sunny Coast on Weds, 15/3, evening after my wife shuts the store.
We will stay over night and pick up my 2 year old granddaughter, already a 10 game veteran, then we will drive to Brisbane Airparkand depart for Melb.
We are staying in the City and will checkin after catching the Skybus. I think we are getting g the picture.
If I hear how inconvenient the 4.40 Sunday time slot is again, I might choke on my Soy Latte,Tuesday morning at 7am, when I checck out and reverse the transit process.

Given the time difference with WA and Perth's alignment with Bali, won't it be about 6am Monday for the Dockers players body clocks.

An injury free
“The recovery and rehabilitation period for this injury will be a number of months, which we will provide updates on as he progresses through his rehab program – suffice to say his return to play will not be until the season is well underway.”
