Favourite players past and present
I thought this would be a bit of light hearted fun..naming our current favourite player/s, also ones from the past.
I’ll start it off with my favourite current players are Windhager and Phillipou…what, Phillipou hasn’t played for us yet I sense your thinking!
We’ll, it’s a gut feel that he’ll be a generational player, who a lot of kids will have his number on their back.
I love Windhager’s attitude and dedication to make himself the best he can be.
Carl Ditterich was my original favourite, George Young in the 70’s, Nicky Winmar my all time fave and Aussie Jones in the 90’s.
Nicky Dal was the one in the naughties!

Re: Favourite players past and present
My favourite at the moment is pbly Membrey
All time… don’t ask me why but I’ve always loved Stewart Loewe. All and heart and soul. Incredibly talented but a little flawed, almost tasted the ultimate success but circumstances played their part… not unlike our club.
I guess I like the forwards

Re: Favourite players past and present
Current: Steele - just love his no frills attitude to his footy (Windy is a Steele 2.0)
Future: NWM - I think (hope) he will stay and give us many highlights to savour
Past - Plugger - I cannot think of any other Saints player that got me to the footy even knowing we would cop a flogging. Acrually, Barks got me to many games as well.

Re: Favourite players past and present
The Doc back in the good old days.
John McIntosh sadly cut down in his prime.
Barks the most undersized key position player ever.
Lenny heart and soul of the team along with Nick.
Now Max and Dmac and looking forward to Windhager dominating for years to come.

Re: Favourite players past and present
At present I like Sinclair Steele Marshall Ross Membrey Wilkie NVM Windy Owens.
I'm very keen on all four new draft recruits, just for the record, and think McLennan could play 50-100 games too.
