Well we didn't last time NWM was the right player (barring homesickness)
Hopefully the days of pulling a smokey are over.

Re: Tsadis / Phillipou / McKenzie
I would have selected Sinn last year… then Hobbs… then NWM
But yes, he was taken about the right spot
And May end up the better of the 3
May not?

Re: Tsadis / Phillipou / McKenzie
I want McKenzie personally
Kid is a quality footballer that knows how to play. That’s the most important thing.
All the bs about scope of development and elite qualities etc is just that IMO and it’s why recruiters constantly outsmart themselves

We wont get tsadis, that would be one of the all time greatest sliders if he somehow gets to our pick. Ill take him though.

I’d be happy with McKenzie, Phillipou or Humphrey…it’s picks 28, 32 and 47 that are just as critical in my book!

If we land MacKenzie, it's not hard to imagine St Kilda fielding a starting NGA midfield in a few seasons.

Yes, if we get him and a time lord us old members could be transported 2 centuries into the future.
That allowing us to witness St Kilda's premiership before we die.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Re: Tsadis / Phillipou / McKenzie
I have no idea personally, but an acquaintance in the industry rates these three as follows:
1. TSATAS - said he's top 5 and wont be there for Saints pick, if he was you'd be laughing. Has great pace and does some freakish things.
2. MACKENZIE - said he is a safe bet and has solid 200 game AFL player stamped all over him, but lacks the star quality.
3. Phillipou - said he's overrated as a top 10 pick. Has benefited from being a huge sized midfielder in junior ranks. Lacks the outside game to be a force in AFL. Has some Patrick Cripps about him but not in that range.
He also said Brayden George might be a target if we can trade up the order to late teens.
Top 5-10 talent who has been injured.

Re: Tsadis / Phillipou / McKenzie
I like Phillipou from the limited footage I’ve seen. So quick and such a beautiful left foot kick. I think he’d give us that class and outside run.
Not sure about McKenzie. He reminds me a bit Gresham. Gets a lot of it but disposal looks a bit limited.
I like the kid from SA with our second (Keeler?) if he’s still available. Great size, athletic, glorious kick.

Re: Tsadis / Phillipou / McKenzie
Bloody hell I hope we nail this draft. It's so speculative. The exact same things said about Tsatas above were said about Paddy Dow.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Tue 15 Nov 2022 11:51am I have no idea personally, but an acquaintance in the industry rates these three as follows:

Phillipou sounds like a high risk, high reward prospect. Can out recruiters determine whether Is he more Marcus Bontempelli/Paddy Cripps or Charlie Constable/Riley Collier-Dawkins?
If McKenzie is a well-rounded 200 game starting midfielder then there's no shame in going for the 'safe' option at that pick.

Things will be taken out of our hands, as in all likelihood Tsatas and Phillipou will be already taken.
I’m not sure we’re in a position to take George, as he’ll miss most of next season coming off an ACL..more likely a club that’s in a premiership window would take him.
I’d love us to get Keeler and Van Es with our second and third picks…ruck/ forward & big bodied key defender!!

StKilda are keen on another Bailey Humphrey from Outer East. Be a smokie in the rookie draft.

Some are saying this kid could go top 20. If it's this Bailey Humphrey.
