I want to wish Ross Lyon a huge get xxxxxx
Also…I think he will do well….
Financially
You’ll be jumping on board like a cheap hooker when we start winning
Spamming us all with your light on fact fantasy opinion pieces of how you knew it was the right call all along ..

What sort of "process" do you think Clarko went through at North?
My guess is that it would be something like..."tell me what you'll do with the list we've got and how can we support you to get it there?"
Correct
Not only that but I don’t think many have woken up to the fact….the review was part of the process…they sat there at the presser stating they knew the characteristics of the coach they wanted…how? They knew Lyon was already in the frame and he has what they wanted
I think people need to forget 11 years ago and focus on what is in Saints best interests right now from a “who can shape up a list and game plan and get us out of an 11 year quagmire?”
If you ignore the emotion it’s clear of all available coaches out there now Lyon is head and shoulders above them
It’s why 4 clubs have reached out to him..
thank **** Blakey off the Board gave him a nudge that he might want to skip the Essendon gig…something else was coming …
Imagine Ross as head coach, Harvey as senior assistant, Riewoldt forwards, Hayes midfield, Dal Santo skills coach. Joey Montagna doing player reviews.
Luke Ball and Max Hudgton could be water boys and throw in Zac Dawson defence. Lol.

You left out Clint Jones. He'll be in charge of fire pits, BBQ and spit roast

Winning what exactly? Finals? Flags?
I hope you are right and I'm wrong, but I won't be changing my views on a person even if he is coaching the team I support
Unlike the club...I'm not bending over... or jumping on board the Sphinx phallus like the rest of you

Better lube up and grab those ankles ….
Oh by the way see below the incompetence from our club in handling his previous departure…Nettlefold is an embarrassment
********
How Lyon Departed Saints
He had a year to go. But there was serious interest from Melbourne that he knew about.
The club/Nettlefold weren’t interested in talking about a new deal for a coach who has taken us to back to back grannies.
Freo kept pushing and pushing. Eventually Ross said yes - then the following morning his agent had a new deal from us after Ross had said he was leaving the night before.
Whoever gets the coaching gig is still going to have to deal with the list issues, as well as coming up with a viable game plan, one that is finals bound rather than a spoon winner.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Ross is not official yet, cool the jets until it's announced, he may say F*** it, i'm a real estate agent.
2hour meeting with Board today?
First time back at Moorabbin in 11 years today?
He’s home.
I think the delay in the announcement is because Ross thinks the list is worse than Bassatt is willing to admit. Ross wants Bassatt to concede, then he'll sign.

Hell....if there's anyone who can get the bizarrely incompetent Dawson a spot on any AFL team it'd be Lyon...he loved that guy.

You are comparing a multiple flag winning coach with a lying snake oil salesman?

Ross Lyon was close to being a three time premiership coach.
It's not like his teams did a GWS, Adelaide, or Sydney in the GF. 2009, 2010, and 2013 all could have easily gone a different way.
My point is that he is a known quantity and has been head hunted by four teams in the past two years.
When you head hunt someone, you don't then put them through a "process".
You have a conversation with them to see if you're on the same page.
I also reckon that the CEO of Seek might know a thing or two about recruitment.

Just jump on board Scollop - there's plenty of room on the phallus
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
“I don’t like the narrative around St Kilda. Maybe it's deserved, but I think sometimes it’s a bit disrespectful. Hopefully it can get to a point where I can roll up the sleeves and help change that, hopefully.”

Chabge it up Rossy let’s stick the narrative right up a few clackers (including some Saint naysayers on here..)

If anyone knows about disrespecting St Kilda it's Ro$$y!
In that whole sorry episode, the one person that should have felt disrespected was Craig Kelly.
Ross left one organisation via a valid exit clause to go to another. People do that every single day. He left because we didn't exercise our option sooner. I still don't know why we didn't do that.
I didn't like that he did it behind his manager's back. But that's between Ross and Craig.
Not my pig, not my farm.

It should be worrying that Walsh and Lyon are buying and validating the anti Saints propaganda line rather than spruiking a bright future. Lowering the bar for themselves? No vision? Are you with us or one of the stone throwers.
