Start a fresh and make St.Kilda > St.Tasmania
Sudden?? Really.
I am seriously considering looking at another Club.
Been with St.Kilda all my life with my Dad and dont want to make a choice but come on St.kIlda its beyond a Joke.
Fine go and barrack for Essendon
Certainly would not be Essendum.
Its so frustrating to see a pattern with St>kilda similar to previous years. So far I have only encountered a few terrific years like most of us, and other Teams just have this ability to continue to rebuild and be successful.
St.Kilda is constantly rebuilding or pointing fingers at coaches or other areas and it really does not encourage me to believe in St>Kilda, doing the right thing.
Maybe we will have Lenny/Harv's as coach/coaches but will it make a difference ? Just seen it so many times.
Time for St>kilda to do the Fitzroy Lions and refresh.
Just my 2 cents.

Cheers

I am hoping there is a plan. Just a weird process. Not overly surprised.

The CEO in July asks the Football boss: What do you think? should we sign Ratts on for an extra 2 years

Lethlean says to Finnis; Yeah sure….

Then he states in the presser just now ( when he is officially the new CEO) that he was integral in the decision to sack him?

How the fk does that make any sense?

You're right. It makes no sense. They said at the press conference it was a mistake. A very unfortunate one for BR, the club and the supporters. Let's hope they make the right decision on choosing the next coach. The chopping and changing doesn't promote confidence but hope is all we have.

If Ross Lyon doesn’t get asked to coach us can I call him ‘Cryin Lyon’?

Didn’t we just re-sign him

Now we’ve got to pay him out?!

We are truly incompetent… a laughing stock
Well, it is the first ballsy kind of decision we've made in a while. Could have limped into next season with Ratten under constant scrutiny and sacked him at round 11, or just make a fresh start now and allow a new coach to come in..

Yes we pay him our, but the other option would be to keep him and waste another year or two.
Yes indeed. Hallelujah. Some hard heads at last steering the ship. F***ing hallelujah.

I don’t understand how Lethlean is the way forward? I don’t have faith or hope when a guy who has made several monumental football related blunders in the last 3/4 years is still making important decisions regarding the people who need to be employed to support our coaches and players to lift this club towards flag contention

That was a shambolic press conference. So many mixed messages. Lethlean saying our list should be achieving more but Gags saying recently that we don't have the cattle.

And why would they make Ratts virtually reapply for the job this week when he was already coach?

An absolute mess. Lethlean and Bassett gotta go. Messaging is an absolute mess and it doesn't look like they've got much of plan.

Scollop wrote: Fri 14 Oct 2022 7:47am The other really funny thing about some of the players mentioned above is that they are Ross’s biggest fans. Can’t ever say a bad word or be critical of him and his decisions as coach while he was St Kilda coach or about his famous ‘end of an era’ speech at that press conference. I suppose it’s like a kid who looks up to his senior mentors or to his uncle or his father if you like.

Some call it respect and a mutual bond. I call it a lack of objectivity. The really sad thing is that the senior players and the whole football department at the time believed what Ross said about the team as far as ‘end of an era’ and I believe it had a profound negative impact on the club in 2012 especially
Couldn’t agree more - I think a big problem is the boards that allowed it to happen. Too many passionate st kilda people who want one flag. Premierships are a result not a goal. “We want one flag” will not get one. You’ve got to think bigger than that.
