Leppitsch.
We need a hard nosed turd that will keep players honest each week. He’s our guy.

Re: YOUR CHOICE FOR NEXT COACH
Give it to Lenny. Arguably should have been captain in our last successful period. Would have a nice symmetry to it.

Re: YOUR CHOICE FOR NEXT COACH
Honestly, I have NFI at this stage.
Steele for Captain-Coach!! (Just kidding, obviously!)
But for the love of Zod, can we get it right this time!!

Re: YOUR CHOICE FOR NEXT COACH
Surely it can't and won't be Lyon.
Buckley might also be repeating the Ratten recycling unsuccessful coach trip.
We chose Watters, Richardson, Ratten, over Banger... (how'd that go?) Banger or Hayes are certainly more deserving, and I'd be very happy with either.
But we really need to find our Craig McRae... fresh, hungry, very smart, ::: no baggage ::: .
Good chance Yze, he seems to be the next cab off the rank (and "C'mon Yz-Saints" works!)
Glad it's not a decision I have to make.

Re: YOUR CHOICE FOR NEXT COACH
If it is Buckley we are done here. I will barrack for the Suns until he, and presumably the board, get the arse.
Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

Re: YOUR CHOICE FOR NEXT COACH
I guess we’ll follow the modern trend of running a “process”. I can see why clubs do it as it gives them an “out” when things go tits up, some sort of plausible deniability.
Would be refreshing if the club just picked someone and backed them in.

Re: YOUR CHOICE FOR NEXT COACH
I see Lyon as a regressive step and his game plan is obsolete. It won't get close to the Geelong's or Melbourne's style of play.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: YOUR CHOICE FOR NEXT COACH
It would be a brave coach to take us on with our history of sackings.
Lets take this review further and look at all of our football depts including CEO and his input on some of our recruiting decicions re Hannebery and Hill .
Leppa or Yze would be my choice.

Re: YOUR CHOICE FOR NEXT COACH
Maybe Lenny, but at least no “process” would show that someone is making the decisions down there rather than passing the buck.Waltzing St Kilda wrote: ↑Fri 14 Oct 2022 8:01amI agrree. If Lyon wants the job, give it to him. Spare us the charade.

Re: YOUR CHOICE FOR NEXT COACH
Is Ross Lyon the only coach we've had in the last 30 years that we haven't sacked and has gone on to coach somewhere else?
