And why do we still have billings? Surely we can throw him in - clark, billings and pick 9 for 3 and next years third rounder?

Hunter Clark deal is off
Player manager Paul Connors confirms his client, Hunter Clark, will be staying at St Kilda despite efforts to get him to North Melbourne.

But at least we have shopped him around for a few weeks unsuccessfully, so we have smashed the trust.

Clark is the one that wanted to leave. He cracked the sads.

I get the feeling that Clark will no longer be a favourite son at this club!

No, ever could stand the Roos, but thanks. Perhaps you enjoy watching Hill squibbing the contest,
I doubt Lenny Hayes will accept it. He never did as a player.

If North don't really want you, well perhaps it is time to hit the gym.
Must be a little embarassing.
Bit of a misunderstanding somewhere?

Should we have taken 2nd and 3rd rounder

Puts him at about 25 points wise

Given his actual output v possible potential

No. Hopefully he can avoid the unfortunate injuries this season and everyone including Hunter, remembers how important to our success he is.

I strongly question that he has an AFL body or fast spread

Decision making????

Hills value a third round given his salary

Any deal involving #3 in exchange for these two players would be a monstrous gain for us, but it will not happen

We’d be more likely to let Clark go for a third rounder
Why would you?
I would not!
But this is St Kilda & James Gallagher.

The same incompetent team who thought this was a good deal…

In
Brad Hill and a future third-round selection (plus a reported $900k salary)

Out
Blake Acres, Pick 10, Pick 58, and a future second and fourth round pick.
Market dictated the price. We weren't the only club trying to get Hill.
Please don’t make excuses for incompetence.

They were looking for a marquee trade and they overpaid; the got rightly rogered in fact.

They should have at least had the courage to walk away after they requested Acres which on top of what they got was just taking the piss.

Norf tried to screw us as well so who knows what happened there. Probably just luck.
