Any chance he still goes to North for a Future First (of Port)?

Re: Hunter Clark
Not going to be popular saying this but if he's not truly committed to the club, I think the best outcome would have been to try and organise a trade now - we stand to get nothing at the end of next year when he's out of contract.

Let's hope he hits the gym in an attempt to get himself AFL fit and has a great year in the hope of making himself more marketable at leastsilverhalo wrote: ↑Mon 10 Oct 2022 9:02pm Not going to be popular saying this but if he's not truly committed to the club, I think the best outcome would have been to try and organise a trade now - we stand to get nothing at the end of next year when he's out of contract.

Re: Hunter Clark
He's keen to get out from all reports and North are even keener so it would be worth going for it come to think of it. Only delays the inevitable of losing him by 12months if we dig our heels in but can pick up a first rounder that otherwise won't be there in 12 months.SuperDuper wrote: ↑Mon 10 Oct 2022 8:36pmAny chance he still goes to North for a Future First (of Port)?

Don't think there's any way we would have got a first rounder for HunterVortex wrote: ↑Mon 10 Oct 2022 9:13pmHe's keen to get out from all reports and North are even keener so it would be worth going for it come to think of it. Re: Hunter Clark
Hunter stays for another year and either pulls his socks up ie fitness, size pre season or plays in the twos for most of next year. If he lifts his game we then have a good player next year and he helps us win a few more games and we play finals and he wants to stay or he gets traded at a decent value. Either way give I am backing the kid to have a great injury free 2023

Re: Hunter Clark
North's Brady Rawling is quoted in this morning's press that they are still hopeful to bring Hunter Clark over during the trade period, claiming "Clark is keen to come".
If that's correct that may get St Kilda a 1st RDP, or alternatively, if he remains and goes to North at the end of 2023, St Kilda could possibly still get a compensation 1st RDP - am I right? Next year's NAB Draft is stated to be extremely strong....

Re: Hunter Clark
Now that North have done their deal and we know what they have in the Kittie it now won't surprise me if Hunter goes tomorrow but they will have to be keen to give away their 1DP...is he worth that?Sanctorum wrote: ↑Tue 11 Oct 2022 5:29pm North's Brady Rawling is quoted in this morning's press that they are still hopeful to bring Hunter Clark over during the trade period, claiming "Clark is keen to come".

And yes I have also heard the speculation about next years draft potential so probably a little method in the madness by our recruiters if the deal gets done.

There has been a lot of talk about Hunter too much just to be a rumour & if the talk is true & he is keen to move on at least make sure we get a decent reward

Re: Hunter Clark
In the past, I've felt sad when a player leaves our club and does much better at their new club.
Ben McEvoy is an exception, because I believed that our system wasn't able to get the besr out of him, so good on him for doing well.
Paddy Mc? Him too, same reason.
Hunter? I think either our system, or his own attitude, has failed him, so if he does well at Norf, then good on him

Re: Hunter Clark
I would take that but I very much doubt North will . Supply & demand Hill & Clark already contracted so it all comes down to how much North really want them but I would accept nothing less than pick 3 for both .

Re: Hunter Clark
Clark and pick 47 for 3 and a 2 rounder either this year or next year it should be about a late 30s, if they don't like that stiff we are in the box seat we can not be a pushovers.
He was a pick 7 and we did develop him for 5 years.

Re: Hunter Clark
Unfortunately 58 we are push overs at the tribunal or when it comes to trading we are a carpet & they just walk over us as if we don't really matter . How do we change that ? In the words of Homer Simpson "I don't know"

Re: Hunter Clark
Clarks value would be a second round pick at best
Hills value a third round given his salary
Any deal involving #3 in exchange for these two players would be a monstrous gain for us, but it will not happen
We’d be more likely to let Clark go for a third rounder
