Are they really offering $600k for Long .....

Wow they are desperate. They are giving away pick 7 for foolish contracting ..... dont they need a salary cap dump? They couldnt use it all on Long ... surely?
That's whats being reported. He might be worth half that.
Reported where???

Lacks credibility

They just gave picks 25 and 36 for Berry....does that leave pick 32 for Long?

So :

Future 1st, 2nd and 3rd

What's the best we can make of all that?

Brisbane will use pick 21, 34 & 35 to get the Ashcroft points, Essendon will probably need to use their picks 22 & 42 to get Davey.

That should mean our picks 28 and 32 stay where they are (rather than being pushed back by 1 pick) and our pick 47 becomes 44. A small win.

Wow. Can’t help but feel we got dicked in this deal. Pick 32 is essentially a worthless pick.

Not worthless at all,

But would be good to bundle up with a future second for another first rounder?

We really showed those Suns how creative we are.

This offseason sure has an underwhelming feel to it.

Fair deal in my opinion.
I really liked Long, but his output was very inconsistent.
Pick 32 seems fair to me

I agree. Pick 32 is a second round pick, certainly has value. I was thinking we'd have to settle for their pick in the 40's

I’ve been waiting for long to come good
now I reckon he’s just about ready to hit his straps and we lose him
seems very much like many other players that have left the club
Will be just another “wish we kept him”moment

In fairness, we have been thinking that for a few seasons yet and it still hasn't come true.

Pick 32.. terrible deal. He showed what he can do, and the way he attacks the ball is second to none.. geez were in trouble this year. Looks like we are only getting worse

I reckon we will regret it
let’s just watch him next year

Wanted to go and he’s gone .

Good get out wasted a lot of time in him.

Terrible with the footy only slightly better without it. Best game was his last which has maybe made us supporters slightly apprehensive about him going.

If it was just the last game I wouldn’t care but it’s a lot more than that that he has to offer

Another good player gone

I agree. Feel disappointed Long is no longer at the club and usually my intuition is right.

I don’t see where he plays though for us. Coffield McKenzie Billings Clark all played minimal games are all better than him.
