Re: IF we dont get DeGoey
If you are going to sell the farm for a mid you might expect to recruit someone who doesn't go missing in big games when it matters.
Pies had to resort to moving De Goey out of the middle after a total of four disposals up to half time and replace him with Bulldog's reject Lipinski.
Can't see De Goey improving his consistency by moving to the Saints.
Let's hope his manager stitches up the deal and he signs with the Pies. The sooner the better.

It is of some interest at least that the Collingwood Coach is buying in by putting pressure on the player’s Manager
We know there is an offer on the table from Collingwood
We also know that it remains on the table
So what next?
It is over to the player’s Manager
You could speculate that the fact the Contract remains on the table is because there is another offer out there
And from St Kilda?
All will be known soon enough
What we also know is that St Kilda are playing their cards very close to their chest - only acknowledging that if any offer by Collingwood is not accepted and the player is available St Kilda is willing to make contact with the Manager - and the Board has signed off on this
We have lost Hannebery - so require a class replacement with experience to pave the way for Windhager, Owens and Wanganeen-Milera (along with Steele and Crouch)

Why are we selling the farm?
He’s a free agent
He was BOG in the previous final ‘that mattered’

Re: IF we dont get DeGoey
I forgot that prelims don't matter. 4 possessions to half time no biggy. Played good the week before so all good. Game breaker. Might win a final with him if he is on. Throw millions at him. Even if inconsistent a good role model for the youngsters. Brilliant investment strategy. Not.

Which has become more boring, the de Goey saga or wall to wall Queens funeral broadcasts.

De Goey's midfield performance in the first half of the prelim and a 96 year old in a coffin is a fair analogy.
