Understandable. Only had the 3rd highest possessions at 81%, 2nd most meters gained and most inside 50s and score involvements…

But hard though when you’re exclusively watching the umps I suppose!

At least his high bombs have some distance about them.
that was the issue appparently - bombing away way over lobb's head.

Over, in front of, on top of, does it matter if forwards aren't creating separation? At least Acres was getting it and challenging Collingwood. Many other Freo players could not get to that stage.

yes, good delivery kind of matters. it's what most saints fans have been bemoaning for years.

Rubbish stats. Point one bit of play where he hit a lead in the 50 or ran and broke the lines by pulling off a difficult kick.

Stupid request...it happened, get over it. Point to all the other Freo players that were hitting up targets, left, right & centre.

There is a site you can compare players.

Here is the link for Hill vs Acres this year.

Measure it how you like. Acres just ahead for mine.

Who’s had a better 3 years, Acres or Hill?
Hill by the length of the Flemington Straight.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

I prefer DMac and NWM on the wings any day of the week. It has taken Acres 8 or 9 years to finally play good consistent footy. He has done it on the wing when he should have been an inside beast. Now after 1 good season he walks because he doesn't like his contract.

Freo fans don't like his bombing. Mixed bag, by the sounds.

Pavlich doesn't rate him.
Don’t agree the article states he doesn’t rate Blake, just doesn’t rate him in Freon’s top 10.

He said he's not worth the money he's asking. So he doesn't rate him that highly.

Biggest trading blunder since Barrett/Stewart.
I have to agree.... huge trading blunder which I thought and said at the time.

Mind you getting rid of a few more players like Hickey, Hind, McCartin for virtually nothing are up there too.
Three of these players playing finals this season! Not to mention Stanley!

Yep, shows an inability to nurture talent. We give up on players too easily. Or trade good experienced players in a gamble that usually doesn’t work out in our favour.

McCartin I understand as there were justifiable reasons to believe he would not play again.

Not so McEvoy, Goddard, Dal Santo …. even guys like Acres.

I’m worried we’ll lose Clark or Gresham in deals that could very well come back to bite us.

Broader issue is that the club as a whole seems to have at least unreliable judgement when it comes to assessing the talent on hand.
Consider who stayed over this period too
