Afl's $4.5 Billion 💸 deal .
So the AFL have just made $4.5 billion in there latest deal . So we'll done Gil .
Questions I'd like answered.
Will this mean the pies / tigers play 22 games at the G ?
How much of this will the saints get ? ..........
How much of this will Gil get as part of his severance package ?
Anyone feel free to answer
And what other questions could we ask !

We probably have the worst list in the comp.

Grand final is protected as a public event, so has to be on free to air.

True but fox will use its own commentators thank f***. Won’t need to listen to BT, JB, Daisy or mud flap.

It probably could, if foxtel wanted to pony up the extra cash for it, but with fox now having its own commentators for 7 games, it may still fall under the anti siphoning rules.

Would appear to be 3 games to FTA rather than 4 or has that been the case in the current agreement?

Hmm possibly may need two streaming services one for seven and one kayoWhat’s on 7?
Seven will telecast football on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays as well as some Saturdays in the last eight rounds of the season.
The AFL has committed to at least the first 15 rounds of the AFL season having a Thursday night game, which Seven and Fox Footy will telecast.
Seven gets the same amount of free-to-air games as the current deal — as many as three and a half games on average across any given round.
It has all the finals, all the marquee games, the Brownlow Medal and the grand final exclusively.
It also for the first time secures streaming rights to the games it covers.
What’s it mean for streaming?
Kayo was a one-stop shop for all nine AFL games this year but from 2025 onwards Seven will have streaming access to their three or more games per weekend.
It will allow them to promote their streaming brand with highlights, live games and playback options which they haven’t been able to do in the current deal.
So if you don’t have a TV and only want to stream then you will need Kayo and the Seven app.

Yeah, since covid first happened I have subscribed to Kayo. But we still get the heinous Channel 7 commentary. I believe with this new deal Fox Footy will be able to use members of its commentary team for games Channel has the rights to. Do you remember the old Fox Footy option of having only the sounds of the game in the telecast? I wish they would bring that back.

Would be bliss. Atmosphere would increase ten fold. Turn the telly up rather than down or mute.Sainternist wrote: ↑Wed 07 Sep 2022 9:10pmYeah, since covid first happened I have subscribed to Kayo. Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

Careful you blokes. You don’t want to admit that you mute the tv. Vortex will now have to stalk you as well
I mean…hell….who wouldn’t want to listen to that magical commentary from Dwayne Russell.

Good ol' Secret_Vortex spent all of 2020 telling us he didn't even watch any games, yet still managed to fill the forum with his spam!
