Totally agree with the OP. We dont know if it is true, but if it is the club are completely directionless. Why would anyone want a delisted hack? Once again St Kilda think they can find a player in another clubs trash, its been going on for over a century and it has to stop!

Our list is in big trouble, the core is questionable, drops off drastically around the 10 to 12 mark. Hardly any AFL standard players on the list after that.

Yes. Why can't they recruit decent players? Why hacks?
It says a lot about our recruitment and the people running the show. How does Geelong keep thriving and St Kilda keep slipping into the depths of despair?
It's definitely not the coach. It reeks of a deep fundamental flaw in the structure of the club. It hasn't been right since Lyon took off. They let him walk. Again the club was at fault, I have no doubt.

Hartigan is being looked at as a delisted free agent back up only for our big defenders. Joyce clearly not up to it and if things go well he doesn't play - Wilkie, Howard Battle stay fit. Also allows younger options (such as Adams) time to develop for another 12 months.
Reality may be better than pick 96 or whatever at a cheap price.
