Anyone gonna watch finals this weekend?
...
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

I'll have it on but probably won't watch the whole game just check the scores every now & then . I don't really care who wins I hate them all equally

Yeah for sure.
Weirdly, going for the Pies, I think.
Daicos is a freak, and I liked his old man.
Don't want Geelong or Swans to win.

I watched the last quarter today. Good game.
I do feel st kilda is miles behind in skills and desperation stakes. It's like I was watching a different code.

Yes and no, finals footy always looks more desperate., to the point where you wonder where that's been in the home and aways.axcellence wrote: ↑Sat 03 Sep 2022 8:20pm I watched the last quarter today. Good game.

Jeremy Cameron is a freak . Cats paid three first rounders....but you have to pay the cost if you want the best.

Re: Anyone gonna watch finals this weekend?
I kind of agree - I watched a fair bit of the first 2 games —which were great games - and while I felt the skills were better than what we bring to the table the results actually said to me that we aren’t far off it - our last 2 games - undermanned and getting players injured during the games and our usual kicking for goal etc etc - still had us pretty close to beating these 2 final winning teamsaxcellence wrote: ↑Sat 03 Sep 2022 8:20pm I watched the last quarter today. Next year we need a couple of key recruits and some luck and goal kicking skills and things might look a lot different

I barracked for the filth and felt like I needed a hot shower but I f****** hate the cats, their f****** coach and their half wit cross eyed full forward so really there was no other choice for me.Banger9798 wrote: ↑Sat 03 Sep 2022 7:15pm Yeah for sure.

Re: Anyone gonna watch finals this weekend?
Yes it was but collingwood coach is not a happy man.
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/mcr ... 5bf5z.html
"Collingwood coach Craig McRae said the Magpies were not rewarded as they should have been for their tackling after losing an epic qualifying final by six points.
The Magpies laid 85 tackles compared to Geelong’s 70 but few holding the ball decisions were made as the umpires put the whistle away and let the ball spill free on multiple occasions.
“We didn’t get rewarded for our tackling. That is something we will look at and the AFL will look at that. I thought there were a lot of awesome tackles that didn’t get rewarded. Isn’t it funny that you run someone down from behind and you don’t get rewarded but someone just drags it in underneath you and it is holding the ball?” McRae said."

Re: Anyone gonna watch finals this weekend?
Four great games of footy.
Why wouldn't you be watching?
The best part for me was watching the Dogs blow a 41 point lead whilst watching the Dockers kick 11 of 13 goals.
Couldn't happen to a nicer team.

Re: Anyone gonna watch finals this weekend?
The AFL should be a little more discerning when endorsing Collingwood issueing contracts, they have no intention of honouring.
