plus the 2 NGA kids rated in the top 25.
I believe you are way too generous. We certainly do not have 2 NGA kids rated in the top 25.
We may have one in Owens which is welcome, but even he is probably not top 30.
Just as I posted earlier in the year.
Err no. You said they were rated in in top 25. Fortunately for St Kilda they were not and went at picks 33 and 47.
How they were rated was as I posted. With the final rating of that time being what happened on draft day. Neither went top 25 and so no club rated them as top 25 selections. Owens went at 33, and I thought that he probably would not go top 30 with Windhager later, which is what happened.
Hindsight re-rating will always change the order, but draft day is the actual rating of players in their draft year.

What type of logic is that?
1/ Clubs call out players who they know will be matched every year.
2/ We did not have the points to match 2 players 25 and under.
3/ St Kilda only manoeuvred to match later calls
Windhager had a back injury and that is a reason why he slipped so far in the ratings. As it did with Bytel.
Windhager went at 47....so according to you the other clubs failed to nominate him twenty odd times.

I think Cal Twomey had both ranked in the top 30 towards the end of the year.
The fact is NGA and Father son matching skews the actual position they go at.
When in 5 years they do a retrospective draft, I'd think all 3 of our recruits will be top 25, hopefully top 15.

Twomey had Owens ranked as high as 21 at one stage and Windhager as high as 25. At his last phantom draft it was Owens at 25 and Windhager a few places further down.

Once they tipped over the 20 mark, clubs probably didn’t bother calling their name even if they ranked them that highly knowing we would match.
Daicos not being called until #4 when he was head and shoulders the best player on offer.
Windy & Owens certainly look bargains at this very early stage. Both seriously tough uncompromising kids at such a young age.
This years NGA player is likely to go top 10, unless it is reported he has a really serious back injury
