Re: Hanneberry done
To me it is such a no-brainer.
He should not be offered another contract. Too much of a risk and takes a list spot that can be used on a developing player.
If he is retained then you really have to worry about the List Manager and coach.

We are an absolute circus from top to bottom.
With clowns running the show.
How much more can St.Kilda supporters endure 1 flag in the history of the club.
Watching last night could not help but notice one highly paid player with a smile on his face to me obviously not playing for the jumper and club..
Plays bruise free footy runs around like a headless chook putting teamates under pressure.
BOOM BOOM

But last night was the first time I’ve felt when he got the ball a turn over was coming
Just poor
How can a player other clubs laud as elite be so crap when joins our club ?
What are we doing/training down there ??
Are we using these guys correctly????
Have to ask the question
“Yeah….nah””

f*** me. I only read the first three or your posts and that was more than enough for me.
Think I will give most threads a miss.

What do you expect of posters who have such a low IQ. Lots of posters with no clue just making crap up.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Hanneberry done
If he had played every game to the end of the season and a good contribution, I would have entertained an extension.
It appears the injury is to his ankle and it may not keep him out.
But if he's broken down again, it is time to let him go.
Yes, I would be sad for him and the club because he was a very talented player and the type we need.
But in hindsight, more diligence should have been put into his condition before we recruited him as it really has been a disastrous decision to recruit him.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: Hanneberry done
So what’s the story
Has he injured his ankle or calf?
What is the issue
What it from an incident or did it just go??
These are important factors

Re: Hanneberry done
It is probably just a routine ankle roll and will be up for it next week.
I had him for six games this year. So four more.
round 22,23 elimination final, qualifying final.
Quite feasible Carlton and Richmond drop out.
Plausible we cause two upsets.
He has played three good games for the club so far, including last week, but never two in a row.
So rounds 22 and 23 could be this.

Re: Hanneberry done
Are they?
From where I sit, after another 16-17 rounds off, he’s broken down in 2 games and been unable to play them out.
My goodness… how many chances are we going to offer
Thats 87/100 he’s missed… but I have a really good feeling that from now on… it’s all smooth sailing.
How can entertaining this idea be considered anything other than idiotic?

Re: Hanneberry done
None of that answered my question
Was it a footy incident injury
Or
Did his body breakdown again

Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

They say an ankle, but is calf an issue too?

Re: Hanneberry done
Maybe we got him just as he was tailing off as an elite footballer, he is not the player he was at Hawthorn or Fremantle.Teflon wrote: ↑Sun 07 Aug 2022 2:20pmI like HillLaurie wrote: ↑Sun 07 Aug 2022 12:34pm We are an absolute circus from top to bottom.

Way too many turnovers by Mr Hill last night, he won't get dropped though. Must have been a promise they made to get him to come to the club.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Ankle , calf does it really matter . He is not part of the future let's just accept the fact it was a bad choice & move on FFS

Not so sure bangaulegend, there are a raft of posters who still want to double down and give Hannebery a contract next seasonbangaulegend wrote: ↑Sun 07 Aug 2022 11:15pm Ankle , calf does it really matter . He is not part of the future let's just accept the fact it was a bad choice & move on FFS

Well no wonder we are where we are , with that kind of logic we will never improve but it would not surprise me if they wheel him out again next yearD.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Mon 08 Aug 2022 3:03pmNot so sure bangaulegend, there are a raft of posters who still want to double down and give Hannebery a contract next seasonbangaulegend wrote: ↑Sun 07 Aug 2022 11:15pm Ankle , calf does it really matter . Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

Re: Hanneberry done
Lethers should use is immeasurable influence at Town Hall to secure a rule dispensation that allows Hanners to have a runner on the field a bit like in cricket. As we know his voice and on field leadership is critically important to our finals chances in 2023 and I feel he doesn't really need to touch the ball just as long as he can get out onto the ground to have an impact.
