I turn 60 on Wednesday, and the way I'm feeling at the moment, we need a new game style, we need to get rid of half our list, we need to get rid of the idiot who thought up this game style, and for once, we need to develop young players - the right skills, the right game plan, and the right culture.

And any of you pie in the sky supporters - yes, it can change around quickly - look at Collingwood.

Not sure if I've got a spleen to vent but with the way we are coached and with the bog average players in our team we are just mired in mediocrity. And it pi55es me off .
I mean once again a prime time game with another predictable result .
Both games v cats this year they've had 25 scoring shots and won 3 quarters. Tonight they were accurate and won easily , score board pressure that's what it's about .
As we're mired in mediocrity , sustained pressure from good teams makes it hard for us to score , most of our losses see as kicking 8 to 10 goals.
Tonight's stats were pretty even . Looking at them you'd think the game was close . But 20 minutes into the first quarter and we know it was game over.

Your spot on but would also add our board must take responsibility here for allowing piss poor some personal issues rip this club a new one , poor coach choices , allowing some players to be paid too much which then stifles us from getting better options. This isn’t new this has been going on since Jeans days .
Luck comes into it but the piss poor decisions have been wasteful ….the move to and from Seaford what a waste of money.
Most people on this forum site while never playing at the most senior level have picked apart the delivery into the forward line but our coaches haven’t wtf …..
As for me this is about where i thought we’d end up on the ladder were still need 6-8 players to go higher and to be honest i think it’s got to be a total rebuild no more transition to retirement players .
My son and myself both feel like not buying memberships from now on and just be an AFL fan and just go to games that will promise to be good games like dees vs pies the other night both sides showing want n desire to win . Saints will be our favourites but at 65 I doubt l will see any more GF appearances let alone a win

The side we put out last night wasn't 45 points worse than Geelong's. I'm not buying any talk that says they had a classier team playing last night. This comes down to leadership, pure and simple. As soon as any side begins shifting out defence from side to side, we leak goals like a sieve. Not enough communication and selflessness without the footy. I'm so sick of seeing it.

And when we have the ball, we have definitive idea of how to move it with any authority and courage. Thought our want for the contest was utterly lacking as well. Our senior mids got spanked around the contest and we turned the ball over when we had our chances.

Got some massive decisions to make in the off season. Absolute incompetence that we can't even look at the coach's position for another couple of years. Just an amateur decision to sign Ratten up when we did. A decision that completely belied the facts at hand.

So bloody disappointed at the moment. It just sucks.

When you know they had decided to re sign Ratten already - with no attempt to be aggressive in going after a Clarkson , you just knew it was boys club decision making
The Prez is weak - I don’t care how wealthy he is he is weak
Players tried for a quarter but look utterly lost with ball in hand
Our game plan is all pressure and nothing else - there is no system to move the ball that the players can follow and no point going on about disconnect to the forwards we all know that
Skills under pressure can be improved- ask Sam Mitchell the key is “how” you train for that
Great coaches get it and meticulously plan for that based on a repeatable game plan players can follow
We have 2 more years of this idiot in charge and that’s thanks to mates rates deals from the board
How could you honestly stand there and declare “Brett is our long term coach”
