Re: Hanneberry done
I actually feel sorry for him, but agree it’s time for us to move on from him. He tried, but it was just never meant to be.

Re: Hanneberry done
And to think… a week ago many wanted to extend his contract for another year

Re: Hanneberry done
In that case, they've already probably extended him - a la Ratten
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

It’s classic stkilda
Glad he will now force the clubs hand to move on
Delusional that he might come back and be the difference
Club is a rabble

Re: Hanneberry done
Is it true the trigger for Hanners to get a contract for season 5 was to play 2 games in a row ?
If so, expect an announcement as soon as Simon takes over from Finnis.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Hanneberry done
That job is taken, Dan will stay at the Saints and be in charge of player contracts, Brad will then get an extension.

Re: Hanneberry done
Few Saints supporters knew it wasn't any thing but a s*** show. But, many - and how many? -realised it was an event that was based on inertia and AFL regulations, manager games and pure luck?
No disrespect to Hannas...(never mind the posters who act like guardians of decency) ...he was a complete s*** show.
edit; I changed bit to but

Re: Hanneberry done
I was saying we are better off not having him on the list and this injury will surely result in that. If he’s strung two months 6-7 weeks of footy together they may have entertained keeping him for another year which would mean a list spot that could have gone to a kid

Thank god Ratts isn’t giving up on Dan.
I mean who is going to drive training standards and help us attract Buddy next season if Dan is gone.
It would be “so St Kilda” to sign him next season on the back of one decent game in 2022 against a bottom club.
I believe he’s probably an honorable person, please retire Dan and save the club from themselves.

Re: Hanneberry done
I just saw an ankle injury.
If it is a rolled ankle/sprain then that can happen to anyone.
If structural issue not from an impact then bye bye.
Regardless of whether he plays again or not it has been an unmitigated disaster that like many things in Victoria over the past few years no one is responsible for
