King kicks 2.5 from 18 possessions.

Membrey misses shots early which he certainly should have put through.

Higgins tries an around the corner kick on his lelt(wrong foot) from a set shot, 35 metres out on a slight angle.....crazy and not the first time this year he has tried that without success.

What could have been a percentage boosting win turned in to panicked struggle to get over the line . Sure Hawthorn had nothing to lose & took the game on & we just could not stop the momentum again . It's a issue that keeps rearing it's ugly head almost every game we play, get control & just fold when the heat is turned up . Fortunately we had a decent buffer against a lower ranked team that saved us from an embarrassing loss a better team would have rolled us IMO

As I’ve said before, will never win a flag as it’s not our number 1 priority. Clearly pre-planned as you don’t rock up with a bag full of flags either.

Positives were Hannebery (excellent return) and Owens, who looks at home against the big boys. Sharman did some good work down back.

Negatives: King's woeful kicking yet again. Our forward 50 entries. We just don't punish teams on the scoreboard when we're dominating

I'm bullish if we bring the effort you never know . Didn't do our selves any favours with the capitulation in the last quarter today but showed enough in the first 3 quarters to give me some hope .
