Yes but have you been watching since the bye?AllBarOne wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 8:22pm I've been viewing this quality forum for a while. The negativity on here is unbelievable. The facts are we are 9th. We have the Hawks next week who we pumped by 10 goals earlier the year. We have the lions and swans in Melbourne. The only one I'd say we have little chance is the Cats but you never know which Saints team will show up. At our best we are top 4. We have shown that. Stay positive.

By my count West Coast have won something like 3 out of their last 16 games there, it’s by no means a difficult task.PADDLEPOP1001 wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 9:16pmIt was in WA on a greasy ground & our blokes stood up!Teflon wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 8:59pmWe just scratched out an ugly win against a bottom 4 sideAllBarOne wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 8:22pm I've been viewing this quality forum for a while. Butler kicked a goal from a free inside 50.
Long kicked a goal from a free inside 50.
Higgins kicked a point from a free inside (or at worst, on) 50.
So again, Cryin’ Curly is full of sh*t when it comes to umpiring, but it’s just sticking to form I guess!
Stop embarrassing yourself.

Hard to deny that ...... about 4 were from Marshall getting done for blocking at the ruck contest ..... he didn't learnCURLY wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 9:49pmThe_Dud wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 9:45pmButler kicked a goal from a free inside 50.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Weagles Round 19 2022
blocking frees in the ruck are a blight on the game- not quite the same order as the "Selwood " but not far off- most are paid because the bounce is not straight , heads towards the disadvantaged ruck who has to stand waiting whilst the opposing ruck barrels into them. Who wants to stand there letting a behemoth charge! The fault lies with the umpire for most of them.
the invisible and the non existent look very much alike

Did you watch the game? Or is this your interpretation of a Morse code transmission sent by a one-eyed Eagles supporter?shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 9:14pm Well, that was a dogs milkshake of a game…slippery slush aside…
How about St Kilda’s complete inability to pass the ball out of D50.? Horrible.
And again, our lack of good entry into f50…
We were lucky today…two low teams..
Umps helped too.
Highlights
I thought Byrnes and Higgo showed a bit …I saw Byrnes kick a few nice ones..
I liked seeing Long come on, and in some twisted way, I was actually glad he came on and that JB was cooked for the day…
Hill took a contested mark!
Butler rode his luck..good on him
Lienert in ruck and Sharman in defence, doing what I suppose Highmore should be doing, and who runs like a sea lion were interesting. Not bad.
Wilkie and Webby and Battle plucking away as usual.
Did you think we missed Jones?
Sadly,
We still look way off it.

Were those free kicks legitimate - or were they fabrications???The_Dud wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 9:45pmButler kicked a goal from a free inside 50.

If they were there - you may as well be argue that Butler kicked the ball (ie the free kick is a non event)!
I would argue that free kicks that are not there but are paid - or that are there but not paid have a huge impact on the game.
This is what sh!ts me about you and Curly - One says black - one says white - Curly - the umpires are always wrong - Dud - the umpires are always right
The truth is that the umpires make some howlers and every supporter of every teams cries foul - it just appears (from the eyes of this ex-umpire) that we get the raw end of the pineapple more often than not. I also agree that we SHOULD be in a position that a couple of wrong decisions do not decide the game - just the margin - but unfortunately we are not that good
I also think that we do ourselves no favours in publicly apologising for on field actions - or by not taking sh!t like the Paddy suspension to the Courts.

I doubt it, but we'll see.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Gresham won't be going anywhere ..... I doubt Billings will be either considering we would only likely be getting a pick in the 30s for him

He is posting lies to continue his umpiring conspiracy narrative, then doubling down on them, when they are easily exposed. In this case it IS black and white.
We received multiple frees inside 50 and scored multiple goals from them. There is no debate or opinion.

Despite the win, apart from the small forwards working a bit better, I didn’t see much improvement or addressing of the major issues exposed over the past months unfortunately.Teflon wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 10:46pmSpot onThe_Dud wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 9:42pmBy my count West Coast have won something like 3 out of their last 16 games there, it’s by no means a difficult task.PADDLEPOP1001 wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 9:16pmIt was in WA on a greasy ground & our blokes stood up!Teflon wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 8:59pmWe just scratched out an ugly win against a bottom 4 sideAllBarOne wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jul 2022 8:22pm I've been viewing this quality forum for a while.
