The whole team, club, admin, cleaners, grounds staff, everyone sucks....

The supporters....we suck.

I punched myself in the face tonight.
I deserved it. I believe in a team that literally is sh1t.

I will likely punch myself in the face next week as well....mostly for saying something like, "we'll probably bounce back and smash them this week" right before a 97 pt loss to West Coast who will have every senior player out with Covid and the Webbles ( the Eagles under 8's) playing instead. Little Ryan Smith kicks 8.1 goals on our defense.

I can cop being undermanned. I can't cop a lack of effort, or picking and choosing when to go. If they can't do the non-negotiables, then perhaps they should hand back their contract and look for another club.

I must be a whinger but hey what the hell . 3 & 8 at the bye & 1 lucky win over Carlton since .So what happened after the bye ? Too much back slapping & warm & fuzzy moments maybe? Bottom line we were odd's on to make the finals & now we won't . Sure we don't have the most talented list but why the free fall ?

Allan Jeans must be turning in his grave at our willingness to embrace mediocrity.

What a shell of a football club we have become under this administration.

That line up should be expected to play finals.

FWIW, I don't buy the no cattle story - but having said that I do not rate Higgins*, Jones, Butler. For some reason the other good footballers are not performing anywhere near their capabilities.

* concussions seem to have taken a toll.

Selections seem lenient to serial non performers in some cases (Butler?) and harsh on others (Long?).
Coach that can't get a side to tackle and play with flair and passion is a worry.
Perhaps there is a back story.
Great call
Butler just gets a walk up start each week
Billing’s has in past too
Jones has to be dropped surely
I don’t care about finals at all
Play youth go future
IF we made finals we’d only shuttle the bed in front of 80k

8-3 could easily turn into 9-13.

And we can't blame the coach?

It’s bizarre that some can’t see we have a team with no direction and that’s coaching
It’s true our list needs work but it’s hardly bottom 4 like we are playing

Can’t direct players who can’t get a kick

AFL supporters belief in the information a coach

In such a random 360 degree game with no offside

I’ll tell you how to make us better

Swap
Ryder, Steele, Crouch and Ross
With
Gawn, Oliver, Petracca, Viney

Thrown in May and Lever for good measure!

Oh
And Alan Richardson as footy director!!!

Not even turning up to play
Sure we need to ta ole the list

Ratten got his side into finals in his first season also, then the comp worked him out, same will happen at Collingwood, MCrae should enjoy it while it lasts because he has some BOG average players who are enjoying the choose your own adventure style of coaching during the honeymoon phase

Collingwood have won their last 7 games with an average winning margin of 8.85...
Take out the 26 point win over Melbourne and you have 6 wins by a total margin of 36 points.
They should've lost to GC, Nth and Ade in consecutive weeks. They are not overly good.

What they can say is that they don't give in, they don't take a backwards steo and they play for eachother... Those qualities alone have probably given them an additional 3-4 wins.

I dare say some of that comes down to coaching and culture?

Does it matter what the reason is a player gives up, our players can't say they don't like the coach or his game plan, if they do it's happened quickly because the effort they gave against the Blues was only a few weeks ago against one of the best midfields in the comp.

Our players are pea heart soft as butter bruise free kick chasers and pick and choose when they will try. That can't be the coaches fault in our instance, not when you have win like you did only 3 weeks ago.

Our list is very poor, drops away dramatically at about 6 to 10.

What you can say is that they are probably less talented overall even than us and they have had an immensely favourable draw. They are highly likely to experience another 2020-style drubbing in the finals.

Ccorrect. It tells us that their consistency of effort or their mental fortitude is just not up to AFL standard. We've seen this throughout the season; be it game to game, qtr to qtr, contest to contest. We just dont know what we're going to get from them.

Im sure there are a few reason... lack of personal pride, lack of AFL skill level, confused game plan, coaching.... Who knows but this team is the most fragile, mentally weak stkilda team i can recall.

If i was Ratt's id be tempted to basically treat these last few games as 'free time' so to speak... Let the reigns off, like he's a new coach.

No point continuing like we have, no one is happy, not players, supporters, coaches, tv ratings (when we play on fri/ sat nights) or my liver.

He needs to shake it up, change the structure, put some score on the board. Who knows if it works but what we're doing now sure aint working..

Totally agree, I don't think I've ever seen a more fragile and mentally weak St Kilda side for a side made up of mostly experienced players. You expect it with a very young side at the start of a major rebuild but our side started the season as being team capable of making the 8 if they had some luck with injuries. So it's not as though we don't have enough players capable of leading the way with a never die and never give up attitude.

Our forward line is where mental fragility is the weakest, our forward line is chock full of white flag wavers.

No point continuing like we have, no one is happy, not players, supporters, coaches, tv ratings (when we play on fri/ sat nights) or my liver.

He needs to shake it up, change the structure, put some score on the board. Who knows if it works but what we're doing now sure aint working..
Our forward line is where mental fragility is the weakest, our forward line is chock full of white flag wavers.
No wonder Richmond was more than happy to get rid of Butler and Higgins, flag wavers don't suit the Hardwick brand.
Gags might go the Tigers at years end looking for a couple more, thinking that'll be the answer to our predicament.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Complaining about the whiners.

Just priceless……

Yeah it’s funny stuff but oh so predictable and same drivel
Saints dish up more pathetic dribble on field
Supporters rightly react
24 hrs later….out come the “blue sky brigade” screaming …”.its got nothing to do with Brett…..for the past 3 years he mustve been busy doing other stuff..”

By end this week you’ll start to read on here..
“Actually I dont think we were that bad….a few good bounce of the balls…or a few of those junk time goals go through and we are right in it!”
Rinse repeat till next week
We just accept mediocrity
We don’t demand excellence
People don’t like facts
Our Board signed a coach WAY too early off a poor body of evidence who has us in exactly the same position 3 years into his tenure as Alan Richardson and playing a style of game plan that can’t transition a footy , bombs on forwards heads ….his only “big” trick is to put Membrey behind the ball late in games…..awesome moves Brett just awesome….how about switching up that Shyte midfield last night with say a Sinclsir ?? When the game needed to be won in the first???? …nice bloke , dud coach…2 more years of him.
Our recruiting of money ball types like Jones, Butler, Higgins, Wood (even Ryder/Crouch who have been good) has blown up in our faces…
Because we are now left in a situation where we are not not good enough to play finals and not bad enough to be North (yet)…..just where you don’t want to be as a club…no man’s land and back in the wilderness
We badly lack genuine class but who would want to come to a club going backwards run like this??
Lobb apparently us/Dogs have been into him…he’s already chosen Dogs…..smart….he’ll learn much more off Bevo (who shredded Rattens game plan with ease) than off Brett
Club needs a clean out - too many “nice boys” down there slapping each other on the back sipping latte’s
The thing that genuine irks me….
In a time we have record members
When costs are skyrocketing …
These millionaire frauds take the hard earned members dollars….treat us like idiots and go and re-sign Brett and do they really give a Shyte about us members who invest every week cause we actually give a Shyte???
Nup. Lethlean will still get in his Audi and ring his private school mates that he goes sailing with on weekends and he knows he’ll get a promotion as CEO and probably get his old desk back at AFL HQ if he hangs on long enough
We are being treated like fools and idiots like Mehebabblelots just “sheep” along
Embarrassing
and STILL people rock up every year and renew their memberships................. A clear case of group delusion?

Was he an open water swimmer as a junior?

What do you suggest Dr Google, hydrogen peroxide? 😂
Where have you been?

It doesn’t sound like it.

Stop making out that you’re not a consumer of big tech.

Ironic that you’re trying to sound edgy using DB Copper as your handle.
