Re: Hunter and Dougal to miss weeks
Dougal’s recent form has been far from inspiring, so at least this will be an opportunity to see our other tall stocks in action.

Highmore and Joyce will be so much better.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion awful is a bit harsh but he has been under the pump for sure but Dougs is a very handy player tall athletic players are hard to come by . Hopefully a bit of a rest just might ignite the fire in the belly & he will come out refreshed & ready to kick arsemagnifisaint wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jul 2022 6:40pmYes he's been awful!SydneySainter wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jul 2022 12:06pm Dougal’s recent form has been far from inspiring, so at least this will be an opportunity to see our other tall stocks in action.

Re: Hunter and Dougal to miss weeks
So Highmore comes in
that cant be so bad - give him a crack, i'm behind him
Hunter courageously avoids scrutiny of his immediate form
and another role becomes available
may the hungriest talent demand their spots

My impression was that Doogs did a decent job on Friday night, before going down.

Re: Hunter and Dougal to miss weeks
Probably depends if Tabenar plays for not.
If he does Joyce come in for Howard - like for like.
Would keep Highmore in for Clark
If they dont have the bigger forward line with Tabenar out then perhaps Highmore takes Howards spot and a runner in for clark , be that McKenzie ( if fit , has missed 3 weeks now so may need a run in the 2s?) or perhaps a Owens - similar issue to mcKenzie, or Brynes to provide run

Re: Hunter and Dougal to miss weeks
I felt Howard didn't zone off as much & played more man on man against McKay than he had in previous weeks.
I can't see us playing Joyce, Highmore, Wilkie & Battle all in the same backline.
Maybe one as medi-sub.
Highmore does not replace Webster & Clark as they are totally different players.
Paton or Long replaces Clark & Highmore replaces Howard.

Re: Hunter and Dougal to miss weeks
Howard didn't zone off as much as usual as he had to defend McKay. Like - as in - actually defend a body. The what having two gun forwards does to a defence. Wilkie did as good a job as possible on Curnow; Howard was occupied with McKayD.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Mon 04 Jul 2022 11:51am I felt Howard didn't zone off as much & played more man on man against McKay than he had in previous weeks.

Re: Hunter and Dougal to miss weeks
McKenzie definitely comes in, probably Joyce. Howard has been a big disappointment for me. He's not fast and doesn't kick it well. He should play to his limitations which is basically playing tight on the monsters and punching the ball away.
