Important players missing key games
For personal reasons?!
Paid between 500k & 900k to play a game of footy every 7 days
But have to miss critical games
Paddy Ryder missed 4 games
Seb Ross and Tim Membrey missed a game together
Brad Hill last week
These outs have absolutely killed us
Everyone has issues at some time or another- most of those pony up to work because they are either required by their employer or need the cash.
Worked for nearly 30 years, gone through many things, can’t remember having a day off for personal reasons - didn’t even know that was a thing?!

Have you ever considered taking time off for personal reasons just to give the people you work with a rest ?B.M wrote: ↑Mon 27 Jun 2022 9:00pm For personal reasons?!

How do you know some time off for personal reasons wouldn't do you some good every now and then?
We work in a world where sometimes the people around us tell us we need some time off for personal reasons.
It's not a bad thing, footy is just a game.

Re: Important players missing key games
I can recall my daughter being a bit of a Princess at Rep Netball and her coach let her have it both barrels. It went something like,I don’t care if your boyfriend has buggered off, your hear to play the way you are coached to play, your team needs you, the Club needs you, so eat some cement and harden the f@ck up and stop being such a bloody drama queen.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Employers can’t get away with treating their staff like pieces of sh*t as much anymore.

Yeah, right.
They still do.
They just soften the blow a bit..

Re: Important players missing key games
Nothing wrong with telling some home truths!
It’s what Ross Lyon, GT, Stan and Kenny had in common (and Jeans)
They were honest, blunt in their feedback and were hard men.
Professional athletes don’t need to be pandered to, they need to be told - straight up!
If a person cannot handle criticism or pressure he (or she) will not stand up in big games - they will hide!
Billings, Howard, King, Butler, Hill, Gresham, Jones, Hannebery, Long
All need some direct feedback about their performance.
I think they can take time off for personal if they are not paid!
Hill 900k per season (22 games)
He forfeits 900 000/22 = 41 000

Re: Important players missing key games
Not saying the coach has to be soft on players or not tell them harsh truths.
But if players aren’t mentally right to play then they shouldn’t play, just as if they’re physically not right.
Should we take pay from all injured players?
I’d rather a player who is 100% ready to go mentally than someone who’s head is not in the game.

As a team they all need to respond on Friday night.
Forget finals and top 8, just resspond and play four quarters.

Really. not at my work. My boss won't put up with anything, not even being sick is a good enough reason.

Re: Important players missing key games
I’ll ask you this, how many Danny Frawleys need to drive their car into a tree before you think we should start taking mental health seriously?
