Plenty wrong with Howard atm, but he has something that no other players on our list that play backline have, height and athleticism. For some reason he's been really poor lately. His first two seasons with us had been very good but we need him to step up. Stop trying to be too clever with the ball - it's not his go. Don't kick in. Punch from behind and don't zone off your opponent so much. Last week against Bombers there were times he was no where to be seen when Peter Wright marked the ball. Sitting behind the goal it was really obvious that he was all over the place.

Howard tried to take on a Swan standing the mark.
It was too tragic to be comical.
He runs like an injured giraffe, ran/loped to one side, got cut off easily, tried to lumber to the left and ended up kicking with left foot, really poorly.
Stupid mistake, what the eff was he thinking.
A normal coach would drag a guy for that, but Cuddles ain't a normal bloody coach, hey

Howard’s want to zone and take intercept marks - massive issue considering he plays on the deepest key forward.
Problem also atm
Even if he is in the vicinity of his opponent- he gets beaten one on one
His last month has been woeful - needs a clear message tighten up or fk off back to Sandy

He cant judge the balls coming in quickly enough and refuses to chase a leading opponent. Consequently his opponent gets 10 metres on him and he just gives up and looks for someone to blame. McKay is going to kick 10 this week unless Ratts sorts something out. I really hope they drop him and play Highmore in Wilkies role, Battle to McKay & Wilkie to a small or SOS.B.M wrote: ↑Tue 28 Jun 2022 4:27pm Howard’s want to zone and take intercept marks - massive issue considering he plays on the deepest key forward.
