The Collingwood fans I know would love to see the back of him. He is good one game in three and a star one in ten but he can have a magical moment. For $800K a year you want a consistent game changer or midfield dynamo not an inconsistent occasional star. Then there's also the risk of mental health problems developing, depression, addiction.

And then there's the risk that they'll punch or grab someone while out in a nightclub (or similar).

Jordan may be at a slightly more elevated risk for the last one here, but at least you can put caveats in a contract for that (unlike the rest). Also unlike the rest, the risk of occurrence tends to reduce as the player matures.

The Bali thing could be the perfect storm in a teacup. Firstly, it was absolutely nothing. Secondly, it shows to him that his card is stamped at the filth, and he needs a fresh start (which he does). Thirdly, it gives us the chance to nab him with the justification for a heavily conditioned contract.
