Our mids are woeful, our best defender is Membrey, our best forward can't kick goals & our coach hangs his hat on small forwards, an 83 year old ruckman & a key defender that can't play man on man or kick to advantage.

Have to agree surely Curly is just taking the piss now or really has no idea. Probably can’t walk and breathe at the same time.SaintJohno wrote: ↑Fri 17 Jun 2022 10:56pmf*** off Curly, everyone is sick of this shite. Happy to be banned.

Plenty to choose from for us!skeptic wrote: ↑Fri 17 Jun 2022 10:54pmPlease don’t ever bring that up again…Premium89 wrote: ↑Fri 17 Jun 2022 10:52pm Shades of 2017 v the bombers?
If I recall, we came in for a Friday night game at marvel with a head of steam after pantsing the tigers the previous week. Put us well inside the 8.
Then Daniher climbed over Carlisle and by the end of the game there were saints scarves hanging out of bins.
Horrible memory

Re: Mach thread: saints v bombers
Membrey has hardly touched it and won't improve on that sitting on the pine.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

As I said earlier
It doesn’t matter if they come out next week all fire n brimstone and beat Swans
Tonight counted
Against a side that’s used us as it’s biatch
On a night (second time now) for a club legend
Probe time
We sh!t ourselves
To get back and level it only rubs it in members faces
Good sides do not lose those games
Brett Ratten has lost me

Re: Mach thread: saints v bombers
Needs a hell of a lot more than Steele.
Good clubs wouldn't be playing someone like Ross anymore and there's others out there that I'd rather not mention right now.
In the second half of last season our best performing midfielder, Steele aside, was Dunstan and he is languishing in Melbourne's VFL side.
Says something doesn't it? Look at the amount of Brownlow votes he amassed...says also a lot about the calibre of senior listed players we have.
To actually become a contender one day, this club needs to keep playing youth and unearth a new future because there's players out there tonight that will never take us to a premiership. They're simply far from good enough and have had more than enough centre stage time!

Re: Mach thread: saints v bombers
I can't quite work out if they look spent, injured, inept, poorly coached or just VFL quality.

Re: Mach thread: saints v bombers
So that’s advantage but marking it in the goal square isn’t.
