They were all mids who were off. Impacted rotations which would have had big knock on effects.

We probably would still have lost and it doesn’t mean we are top 4.

We are off the pack at the moment for reasons covered in this thread.

Can’t believe the negativity. We win that game if those players don’t go down, no side in the AFL can win with 3 outs in the last qtr.

Think that’s rose coloured glasses
Their midfield got on top
They lock straight early we are 3/4 down
They were class above when it mattered
Midfield needs an injection of class - Ratten has to get creative not return to the same old mids he needs to bring in others eg sinclsir etc rotate through

Don’t agree, still can’t recall a time in recent Afl History a team has been down to one rotation in a game of footy. Monumental effort to not get beaten by 60 points.

We weren’t down to 1 rotation till last qtr.we were ahead at half time and 3 points down at 3/4 time.
Think we are glossing over Lions early domination and inability to kick straight.
yes they dominated their way to 3 extra scoring shots at 3 qtr time and 7 mins into the last we were 4 points down.

But if it makes people feel better and feel like we are a top 4 side now …knock your socks off…
I'm actually happier knowing that without Steele and with out Billings, Clark and Jones at their best, we can match it with the highest scoring team in the competition, on our terms.

I can't wait for Rnd 22 at Marvel. Hopefully we have a full list to chose from.
