As bad an umpiring performance you’ll see.

Post: # 1959555Post CURLY »

Apologies to The Dud who finds anything directed at any AFL officials as wrong.

Last nights game was appallingly umpired. Brisbane were gifted 11 shots on goal. That stat is bad but to have nine of your ten goals with a free kick in the chain is just ridiculous.

Ben Long spoils a ball unrealistic attempt. 🤦‍♂️

Jones HTB 🤦‍♂️

Lienert 50

The double free to Cameron

The free against King for pushing while they pummeled King. No free

The Lions got a dream run.

The way the game is umpired nowdays, its a hard watch at times.Feel like your sitting on a knifes edge waiting for a whistle/free kick 50 metre penality or some stupid decision to happen, way over umpired at times

I agree wholeheartedly with the OP.

I cannot recall a match in recent memory that was so over officiated.

To suggest it was all one way is beyond stupidity IMO, I thought both teams were both the beneficiaries of soft dubious frees in kicking distance meaning both were also on the receiving end.

The defenders could barely spoil a forward last night without being ‘pinged’.

Really frustrating to watch how this game was umpired, I could imagine the players and how challenging it must be not to show any dissent.

The first goal the Lions had taken off them by the review system was probably the worst decision of the year.

Definitely over umpired which led to a lot of frustration & made the game hard to watch but I don't think it cost us the game ,they were better for longer IMO. Sure injury to 3 players didn't help our cause but that's how it goes sometimes

Good point, that “mark” paid to DMac (who then goalled) was actually the worst decision all year!

As I said in the game thread, in the first quarter it was 7-1 our way

So after that it was 13-27 to them, enuff said

Two posts on this thread are the worst posts in the history of Saintsaitional.

Anyone mention Higgins getting pushed in the back as he tried to dribble a goal?
He didn't dive, he was focussed on aiming at the goal. The Lion put a huge effort into the push.

What’s embarrassing is your constant sooking to the mods. Then you basically pot StKilda for the entire game day thread.

The umpiring was pretty bad both ways but it looked like the umpires had already checked out in the first quarter.

Robinson knew he stuffed up and was hoping not to get reported!

How is this not 50? Was he waiting for Marshall to appeal?

Agree 100%

Especially since I have seen plenty of them paid this season

I couldn’t see any reason to overturn the decision based on that blur of fingers and ball.

You see a finger get bent back and the spin of the ball altered. Not clearly, but still visible.

Anyway , what we see is not all the afl guy gets to see.

They keep telling us it’s the same vision. Why not show it? I can’t see any benefit to the AFL.

Umpire Nick Foot.

What do we expect.

Nearly every time he has a Saints game the frees are at least 2 to 1 against.

Only free in that quarter (3rd) given after we had taken the mark!
