Some of the average role players and kids have been fully exposed

Whilst Billings and Clark play seconds

Go figure?

The way we've played, we're lucky not to have been pantsed. Lot's to learn from a loss I suppose. Heads up, druggies next week.

Final score..

Bris 10-18-78 v Saints 8-9-57

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Should have left the winning team unchanged, no need to bring in Higgins or Butler

Yep, midfield got thoroughly exposed tonight, bringing in Butler and Higgins backfired.

Just horrific in all respects

Concussion and injuries didn't help and got reamed by the umps in the 2nd half

Back into the pack now with a super hard fixture to come

It’s our Achilles Heel,we’re way to one paced in the middle and they were really starting to carve us up prior to the two concussions

Would have been 2 or 3 goals worse without them.

Nowhere near it. We'll be out of the 8 in two weeks. Lions a slick ball movement unit. We're the opposite.

Too true. Howard looks around to blame anyone but himself when he stuffs up, which is often. He’s not a leader’s ring piece.

The bomb it long to King continually when 3 out has been abysmal tonight!!! WTF is going on when Brisbane continually rebounded off King when spoiled - really poor coaching Ratts. That and Brisbane being front and centre for every spoil is ordinary football and what game were the coaches watching FFS?

Sinclair had a shocker but WTF didnt throw him on the ball in the last again I believe was very poor coaching!

Hill was disgraceful, when the heat is on he hides - he is the softest player in the competition by some margin.

Ross had a very ordinary night and Membrey has been out of form for sometime.

Again Marshall couldnt take an over head mark contested to save himself. Even when he gets matched up against much smaller opponents he cant grab the ball. He simplybcant judge the flight of the ball in the air to launch at his marks. His marking has gone backwards in the past couple of years.

Yes we lost 3 players but Brisbane were on top before that. Neale & McCluggage far too good through the midfield. Jones injured again!!! Anyone who thinks we dont need more quality through the midfield is kidding themselves.

Plenty of changes for next week Byrnes for Jones, NWM for McKenzie, Billings for Owens, Lienert for Wood. Windhager looked cooked and needs a break if Clark or another are ready. Hill as the sub Ratten has to make a statement that Hill has to go when its his turn and not shirk every contest.

When Owens went down we lost any drive from the centre.

Bodes well for his future, but disappointed we can't cover a three game player.

Hope Billings and Clark are in good Nick, Sharman more value as a genuine forward option, Membrey high half forward.

It always comes down to the clutch goals in matches like this

Higgins
King
Membrey

All missed sodas

Butler missed a crucial albeit tough chance too as did Long after the game was over.

I didn’t like the balance of the team today.

Owens will miss (though he was looking ok pre-concussion)… be good to see Clark back

Billings pbly comes back too… Windy I think deserves a rest.

Personally I think I’d rather see Coops in instead of both Higgins and Butler. Of the two I’d give Butler a reprieve… did why you could expect.
We just look better in structure with Sharman

Higgins needs to get his confidence up and make more of his opportunities

Wood is an upgrade waiting to happen. Depth player for sure

Out of the 3 injured, Jones was the least important. Looks all dash n crash but ultimately amounts to sfa.

Hill will hold his place, only because of injuries and the fact that Long and Wood chose this game to put in equal shockers. Windhager also struggled. However, I cannot see more than 5 changes.

Welcome: Billings, Clark, NWM, Byrnes & Sharman.

Yes need Sharman in, even if just to be a decoy lead to draw a defender. Only one of Higgins and Butler need to be there. Having said that, Max needs to fricken LEAD.

Seriously doubt Rattan has coached that we bomb it to King when he is up against 4, what about Ryder, Membrey, Higgins, Wood who must have been free or one out?
That's on the players

Membrey has obvious shortfalls with his game. He struggles with leg speed now and his contested ball work is very average. His marking was his strength and that's no longer what it used to be either. We need another forward option other than King and Membrey no longer cuts it.
Ross was poor and better midfield teams always have him covered. Hill was embarrassing and Gresham doesn't do enough, with his disposal often disadvantaging the team.
