Fate sits in our hands.
11 games to play:

- Geelong and Brisbane away
- Ess, WC, Haw
- Swans (2) , Carlton, WB, Freo(Marvel) , Bris (Marvel)

we're stuffed. just four bloody wins is all i see (ed - pardon the poetic license, i accidnetally delted the whole post and on an ipad its too much hassle to start over. can't even be arsed fixing the spelling mistake above).
i like it. set a low target

Yes

Actually, as Kosu pointed out, we ended done well against the Blues and I was so twisted by those 2019 and 2021 losses at seasons end, when we were clear favorites, I made a bad error…

Well I think St Kilda might pinch a a couple of tough ones , but we may drop a sitter too.

Injuries have been very kind to us, but who knows.

Don’t have a clue obviously, but I dare to imagine and so set the bar low.

Ok to pant in anticipation?

Most of the commentariat are not taking us too seriously. Good.

We have earned the right to enjoy the season so far in the knowledge we have a damn good team that's well coached.

No need for negative speculation.

14-16 wins.

No idea how I came up with that number.

being in the 8
(top 4 in fact)
(with a decent percentage even)

fellow sainters intrigue 'n frustrate me
with their insatiable desire to find
problems for every solution

amazing

Well, it's like English skies...

Agree wholeheartedly!
And I think the key to it could well be serious injuries. We have had a relatively good run first half which is a rarity for us. With continued good fortune coupled with the talented list we now have and wise weekly selection we should continue to prosper and stay in or near the top 4
We need a bit of Melbournes luck in this regard … we are we are bloody due Fingers crossed

We're only 2 wins (and percentage) from top spot.

If someone said we'd be 8-3 at the half way point, before the season started, we would have told them they were dreamin'

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

The next five games are big, 2-3 wins would be nice, but I think we will start to feel the loss of Steele against those top teams

Yes
Talk makes it’s own talk

But I think we’ll make the 8 and the 8 will be soft
And so we can win finals…

So it’s positive..

My theory goes..

We have the worst draw of any team..
But we are super improved..
So we will stand strong in the headwinds

Other teams have an incredible tail wind

Collingwood
Richmond
And specially,
Gold Coast

All three could sail into the 8

Making the bottom of the 8 soft.
St Kilda make the 8
Win the first final easy

And then the miracle begins

Bulldogs draw is bad
Only hope Brisbane don’t drop out the the top four, they also have a terrible draw
Don’t wanna meet in Elimunation final

mmmmm

thats well presented

there's an understanding going on there
that i could follow

cool

(i figure we have dues to pay
before being any serious threat)

though
would love to see the Miracle Premiership 22 unfold
...jagging one early
would (should) be the absolute making of this Club

the emotional weight would drop off our collective Self
then we could just get on with playing footy
how its meant to be played

for fun and winning
