Re: Jack Hayes contract extention
I'm still lamenting Jack's loss. He is exactly what we need in our forward line. I'm still not convinced that Sharman is going to make it whereas with Jack he was a rare, rare find and was good to go from his first game.

Re: Jack Hayes contract extention
I’m still confused why Sharman didn’t come straight in the week after Hayes went down
Anyhow…well done to the hierarchy for securing Jack and offering him the contract extension

Re: Jack Hayes contract extention
I agree with your post.
Hope Jack's knee is as good as new when he comes back next year.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

One year at a time would have been plenty, but very happy he has been supported like this by the club.
Has there ever been a more popular 4 gamer at the club?

Re: Jack Hayes contract extention
Obviously he has impressed a lot of people with his work ethic & It's a credit to Jack to see the club rewarding him for that. I hope he has a successful recovery & look forward to see him in the R W & B in 2023

Re: Jack Hayes contract extention
I think he deserves it , he looked A grade at AFK level we’ve taken much bigger risks that have gone bust.
I also think it’s actions like this that binds a club and makes it attractive to future prospects decisions to join us. Knowing they are more likely to be looked after
But I’m soft and touchy-feely these days!

Great move by the club and congrats to Jack. What a shame he did his knee as I had a feeling he was going to take the competition by the throat. Hopefully he comes back stronger and fitter and really has an impact.

Yeah, I get that..,going with the vibe and all that jazz…happy , drunk happy, spin zone..but I only saw that good game..and I didn’t see all of it…mostly, I read the stats…supersaints2 wrote: ↑Fri 27 May 2022 7:13am I think he deserves it , he looked A grade at AFK level we’ve taken much bigger risks that have gone bust.

Goals.
And we saw Sharman kick plenty in a short patch last year, and barely get a game this year…
I thought Hayes was off the pace in the community series, stripped of the ball one, just too slow, but I haven’t got a clue about potential.
If you say so..
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Best decision of the week for me.
Kid came with instant impact and just looked like he born to make things happen.
Hope he comes back with a vengeance

He’s a GOP but with heart. Thinking of Brett Voss.
He needs to avoid more injuries. I am assuming that the second year has some trigger clauses.

I was impressed with Hayes from the first training session…super competitive, big heart, gives everything for his team and loved and respected by his peers and coaches.
Well done saints hierarchy for recognising his value.

Re: Jack Hayes contract extention
As a forward/ruck, we've seen his smarts, effort and physicality.
As a 3rd tall, he is on par with many other seasoned AFL bodies. He is a contested footballer and a forward target. He could probably look fitter but his efforts and output are on par or better than Riewoldt, Mihocek, Fogarty, McStay, Taberner, Stanley, Casboult, Koschitzke, Lewis and Gunston etc.
He averages about 70% play time. His finess is remarkable and his previous role prepared him for his current role. He takes contested possessions and is hard to beat.

Sorry but extension.
