Wow, didn’t realise we kicked 8 in the last.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Sat 21 May 2022 11:06pm Took us 3 and a half quarters to get going, which is a credit to Adelaide.
8 goal last term.
Can’t keep leaving it so late tho!

Great effort with everything against us. Umpires were the standard we’ve come to expect. Just so one sided.

We were ordinary tonight, but nowhere near as ordinary as the umpires

The tall blokes stood tall, the small blokes got busy and the cream rose to the top.
A good effort in the last to overcome a desperate and determined opposition. Well done Saints.

I would say he’s easily our best defender, even though Howard gets more of the limelight.Banger9798 wrote: ↑Sat 21 May 2022 11:08pm Anyone who doesn't put Wilkie in the votes today hasn't been watching

Wilkie is head and shoulders above Howard as a defender
One of the best in the AFL
I’d have him AA at the minute

Max King getting interviewed by Ben Dixon (I’m paraphrasing…can’t remember the comversation word for word)
Dicko: What did you think coming into the game?
Maxy: We knew it gets loud here. The crowd get involved. Lot’s of free kicks for them so it must have worked!

I THE umpires should be embarrassed and the AFL should have a look at itScollop wrote: ↑Sat 21 May 2022 11:16pm Max King getting interviewed by Ben Dixon (I’m paraphrasing…can’t remember the comversation word for word)

Why would they? Kept the game close gave Adelaide a chance. AFL approve that garbage.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Crows Round 10 2022
Generally agree with all that. We were lucky they didn’t kick straightTrev from the Bush wrote: ↑Sat 21 May 2022 11:09pm The tall blokes stood tall, the small blokes got busy and the cream rose to the top.

Have a look at the scoreline. I saw Brett in the coaches box with a little smug smirk tonight when our guys nailed their set shots
If anyone remembers my comment during the week about set shots they’ll know what I’m talking about
Ohhh….and can I also add…..Ratts is a fkn genius!!

Re: Match Thread Saints v Crows Round 10 2022
King, Wilkie and Hill stood tall.
Straight kicking got us across the line for once.
It’s so important and hopefully King gains confidence from that.
Apart from that throw away the tape and ever watch that replay again.

Don’t worry. I’ll be watching the replay and with the fkn sound turned off. Had to endure listening to The Crow Eater prick and the Pipe all fkn night because the family insisted the sound be turned up

I hope so, I'll be in Tahiti next week and would love a stress free game.
Have to find out how to stream the game on my phone, from what I have read, I should be able to do it.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Crows Round 10 2022
Great last term got us over the line but should still look at a few changes, Webster should be the first to go surely Connolly or Highmore are a lot smarter than Jimmy, although a great finisher Sharman just does not do enough Higgins finds a lot more of the ball. Long appears to have become the master of the head high tackle and Wood could be a bit harder at it. A great win in the end but we did have a lot of passengers that need to lift especially with Owens, Byrnes and Bytel playing well at Sandy
