And they sacked him with a year to go on his contract
Rebuilding?
They gave us most of their draft picks for Jaeger

Why would you want a Justin Langer intensity clone as your Coach?

Clarkson is yesterday’s man. We need tomorrow’s premiership coach and team. Changing just the coach does not win premierships, if this was the case we would have cupboards of silverware. Premierships are about building winning combinations, being ruthless and frightened to lose.SunnyErnie wrote: ↑Thu 12 May 2022 10:06pmBecause Clarko is in the business of premiership winning!!!
This is where your desire to dump Ratten is as wrong as wrong can be. And no matter how many posts you make Ernie, at the end of the day, you are wrong and will always be wrong.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Re: The other Elephant in the room.....
You got that completely wrong Happy. Ratten has absolutely no idea about the modern game. He is a Richo clone, kick long to the hotspot. That’s all he knows and the only 2 moves he ever makes is Membrey to the backline and Sinclair to the middlehappy feet wrote: ↑Thu 12 May 2022 10:20pmClarkson is yesterday’s man. Read the post and comprehend what I am saying. Merely changing coaches does not work. Nor does over posting on this site where everyone is fast getting fed up with you.SunnyErnie wrote: ↑Thu 12 May 2022 10:24pmYou got that completely wrong Happy. Re: The other Elephant in the room.....
The grass is always greener, it appears. Writing Ratten off is ridiculous. He's already shown he's got far more nous than Richardson.
Funny how Clarko the supercoach became Clarko the ordinary once he'd lost some of his superstars.
Ratten has us plaing to excellent football in 2020. We had an unfit and unhealthy playing list with a lot of games missed by our best players in 2021, yet we still nearly made the finals.
We are 8 games into his third season with a 5/3 record and some people are calling for him to be replaced.
Are you just throwing up this stuff to get a reaction? If so, that's pretty sad. If you actually believe it, that's even sadder.

My oath I believe it. Ratts would have been an excellent coach in the 80’s when kick it long was the go. In the roaring 20’s there is a lot more to it which unfortunately he had absolutely no ideacwrcyn wrote: ↑Thu 12 May 2022 10:36pm The grass is always greener, it appears. I have learnt over time if you engage with undesirables you run the risk of becoming just like them. For that reason alone, no comment on this thread from me.

So if someone on a fan forum has a different opinion to you they are an undesirable? Interesting!!!Trev from the Bush wrote: ↑Thu 12 May 2022 11:07pm I have learnt over time if you engage with undesirables you run the risk of becoming just like them. Re: The other Elephant in the room.....
For a period of time Hawthorn had a very good List
The start to building that List was Franklin and Roughead
St Kilda has former Hawthorn personnel at the Club - including via the AFL after leaving Hawthorn
If Ratten was not well respected why have this personnel made their way to St Kilda from working with him at Hawthorn?
And, yes, Ratten and Richardson are friends - hence Ratten coming to St Kilda as an Assistant Coach to Richardson
As I say, Ratten is going nowhere
And Clarkson will not be at St Kilda
You can read between the lines

Re: The other Elephant in the room.....
For all we know, we could be right in the hunt for him, given Ratten’s contract is still up in the air. I definitely wouldn’t rule it out. Clarko is also no stranger to Moorabbin.
But the thing is, since GWS are no coachless, there’ll be at least two other clubs trying to acquire his services and offering him outrageous lucre. I guess it’ll come down to what Clarko wants.
Curb your enthusiasm - you’re a St.Kilda supporter!!

Re: The other Elephant in the room.....
Ok.
Clear this poster has an unhealthy dislike for the Saints and is using the forum to act out.
Brings really bad karma.
Unfortunately it seems we can do nought but facilitate his/her fixation.
Suggestion to mods: ask the poster the basis for being a Saints fan. Why the level of nasty vitriol if a supporter.
Also notice since his/her largely successful campaign to ruin the forum Saints have been losing. Coincidence?
Unless this poster is purged the bad karma will continue. Simply exploiting good nature to bring everything down. If you want us to start winning again....well you get the drift. Nasty piece of work.

I think it is serious. Everyone bangs on about free speech and that is fair enough. But with free speech comes responsibility. You must be responsible for posting some quality and thought provoking ideas or observations. Clogging this forum with ridiculous thought bubbles is ruining it for everybody.SunnyErnie wrote: ↑Fri 13 May 2022 12:41amAre you serious?Yorkeys wrote: ↑Fri 13 May 2022 12:07am Ok.
