Re: Saints vs Port. Game thread
Small forwards seem to go missing in tough games and under heavy conditions.
We could have selected a bigger bodied player and rested a small forward (maybe even 2) perhaps?

Yep and if we kicked another 2 points we win.Premium89 wrote: ↑Sat 30 Apr 2022 11:00pmUmmm we had more than two easy kicks from pretty close range that we missed…I love the saints! wrote: ↑Sat 30 Apr 2022 10:58pm What is pathetic is the umpiring gifting them the win! I hope we never play a "home" game there again! Not to mention the complete lack of crowd support!

Re: Saints vs Port. Game thread
That was Rattens worst coaching performance of the year. We desperately needed run around the ball Crouch & Gresham were terrible. Surely you throw Sinclair onto the ball and Long forward.
Campbell shouldn't have played given it was a wet track. Higgins got slaughtered by Burton yet he left him matched against him. Once again too many easy missed shots, an absolute shocking loss. Another 4 points thrown away, dumb stuff and a very poorly coached football club tonight.
If Butler is not dropped after tonight I'm sending my membership back to the club.

Re: Saints vs Port. Game thread
Yeah sick of it but still not the venues fault
Weak inept goal kicking in front of goals the difference
Max K or Ben if you listen Richo and Darc will cop heat this week and so he should
He’s paid to kick goals ffs

Re: Saints vs Port. Game thread
Powell Pepper got away with 5 holding the balls. The one near the end was disgraceful umpiring. As for Max King.....that was a horrible performance

We didn’t win due to pathetic conversion.
Higgins and King again the culprits.

Small forwards get smashed in the big, tough games ... even Milne went missing.

Re: Saints vs Port. Game thread
After Port's breakthrough win last week they were probably rapt to be playing StKilda the following week, and at a neutral venue.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

1 goal 15 behinds in nearly three quarters of footy and still only lose by 1 point.
Not hard to see what cost us the game!!
