Dreadful game at the G
What a s…..show the game at the G has been in the first half. Skill level deplorable. James Brayshaw in commentary trying to turn a sow’s ear into a silk purse. It’s a pity these teams haven’t been jointly competitive in living memory. A snooze fest. AFL - share it around and get the elite teams playing.

Any other teams wouldn't get the numbers at the ground or on TV.
Of course Brayshaw has to talk it up, he's getting paid for the propaganda.
He's like Stanley Tucci's character in The Hunger Games

Re: Dreadful game at the G
In the SANFL, the Anzac Day competing sides are the Grand Finalists from the prior season
Why not a similar recognition by the AFL?
Just me, but I just do not see that the exact same 2 sides should play on every Anzac Day and especially when those sides occupy the positions they do on the Premiership Table (from the prior season, obviously)

…had it been ANZAC day 2010, coming off the back of two of the greatest games in modem footy history (rnd 14, GF09), then yeah it probably would have been close to 85k.CURLY wrote: ↑Tue 26 Apr 2022 9:18amWhat garbage, you don't think StKilda v Geelong ANZAC would get 85kWellardSaint wrote: ↑Mon 25 Apr 2022 5:40pm Any other teams wouldn't get the numbers at the ground or on TV.

Not making up BS again are you Curly?
Biggest home and away crown Sainrs V Cats at MCG was 58K back in 2010 in the grand final replay.
Just under 99K attended the 2009 GF.
Ave crowd for Saints V cats since 2000 is 38K.
85K is a big, big number.

Wasn't always the filth v druggies. My mate remembers going to a carlton v druggies ANZAC day match back in the 1980's.

All I enquired about was the methodology.
And it seems plucking a number from ones posterior is about the extent of your effort.
