Re: Hind & Dunstan!
Both would not be in our best 22. Some people go on about them as if we've lost two All Australians and that we will rue the day because we'll fall in a hole without them.
Both replaceable. Connolly is the perfect replacement for Hind, and Windhager will ultimately be an upgrade on Dunstan.
It's time to put this stuff to bed.

Re: Hind & Dunstan!
Maybe they can swing Hind to a defensive forward role? They are totally s*** there and he did get some development there at some stage.

And Acres were all suspect with their disposal. All were inconsistent. Acres and Dunny also suspect with their decision making

Re: Hind & Dunstan!
My only concern was why didnt we give him an extension throughout the year? Essendon were always keen to be chasing him, particularly after the Saad trade and we let him go for zip. At the very worst he would have been a good depth player, Gaggs got that call wrong.

Re: Hind & Dunstan!
There’s not a day goes by where I don’t wake up with a semi at the thought of never having to see Dunstan slaughter the footy whilst wearing a Saints jumper.
I loved Hind and despised Cho for turning a gun VFL hbf into a pox AFL small forward. He’s got some good attributes but he needs defensive defenders around him to maximise his skill set.

Watched only his highlights, how could you miss them, and saw that bleached dipstick filth player kick at least two of his 5 goals on Hind.

Re: Hind & Dunstan!
I saw about half the game. Dunstan was serviceable, but is predicted to make way for Viney this week. Viney is simply a better more polished version of Dunstan so it's understandable. Not sure why Dunstan went there tbh. Would have thought at least 10 clubs where he would have been better suited. I'm guessing no-one else was interested.saintspremiers wrote: ↑Mon 25 Apr 2022 8:49pm I didn’t watch the Dees game. How did Dunnny play? Will he get a game ne t week?

Looks likely as evidently up to 3 Dees will be out with Covid this week along with their coach.

Re: Hind & Dunstan!
Thank god we are talking about Hind & Dunstan and not Petracca & Bontempelli as per our usual wakes.
This thread at least makes me smile, including the bit comparing Acres decision making to that of Dunstan's & Hind's.

The whole Petracca, Bontempelli stuff is old news for me. Our previous poor decisions allowed us to fall and get Max King. In Max I trust

Luke is.
Luke got mad when Ratts said 'you're VFL standard, champ'

Totally agree Goose & the fact we have a thread about Hind & Dunstan is proof that we are improving because our regrets become less significant.Goose is king wrote: ↑Wed 27 Apr 2022 8:29pmThe whole Petracca, Bontempelli stuff is old news for me. He had a ripper. Maybe his best game. Not before time but has 100 games and for his sake I hope he shows this form consistently.

Re: Hind & Dunstan!
I would rather still have Blake on our list. Didn't need to throw him in as steak knives in the Hill deal.
Re: Hind & Dunstan!
I was one who was disappointed at releasing Acres - always had that point of difference including inventive ball use which led to scoring chains
Was never well served by the Club during the Richardson years - seemingly the scape goat
As I understand there was a view his development and progress could be enhanced by sending him home to play his footy - and no other reason
So slipped between the cracks
He was influential in numerous of the games St Kilda won thru his time at the Club
Sometimes running the wings is a lonely existence - but the work needs to be done
Good luck to Acres
As long as he does not influence the result when we play Fremantle - noting he was serviceable with 20 odd touches when we beat them a couple of weeks back

Re: Hind & Dunstan!
St Kilda traded Hind and pick No.77 (at the time of trade) to Essendon for picks 67 and 74
but none of those picks were used.
