He has Brownlow written all over him
And I backed him last week at 1000-1 after which his odds were slashed.
He certainly is good enough. Unfortunately the way he started speaking with / to the ump whilst GC kicked a goal suggested he was already a Brownlow medallist.

Would like to see Sincs still get a run through the middle on occasion- he’s proven himself there and delivers superb forward of centre

A win's a win and, with a lot of close games lately against this mob, it was nice to win by 26 points.

It's funny. These match threads go 12-13 pages when we lose and only 5 or 6 when we win. Winning uses less internet space which is good for the planet.

We were bog standard average today ..... leaked goals from some horrific turnovers but we found a way to win

GC threw the kitchen sink at us but sign of a decent side when you can graft a 4 to 5 goal win when not at your best

Bring on the Giants!!

To be fair, he did refer to Max as the most dangerous forward in the competition, then proceeded to call him Aaron Naughton.

A few blokes got ahead of themselves in the second quarter. The momentum swung our way and we should have put the game away by half time and just ground them into the dirt.
Focus on the goal kicking boys, its vital.
None the less we won by half the margin we should have and end up 3rd instead of 2nd.

"Hey, St. Peter

Flash and the Pan

The morning was cold and lonely
City lights old and grey
The sun arose trying to smile
Gave it all away
The honky-tonk called a stranger
The stranger couldn't pay the bill
Made a stand, raised his hand
Sang a song, no time to kill
I said, Hey, hey, hey, St. Peter
I've got a tale to tell
I've just been down in New York town
It really feels like hell
It really feels like hell
Billy was out of fashion
Manhattan was years ago
Yesterday he wasted time
Money was kind of slow
Billy had friends of glory
Billy was a friend of fame
Took a chance, raised his hand
Sang a song, now he's back in the game
Hey, St. Peter
Before you ring your bell
Just been down in New York town
Done my time in hell
Done my time in hell
I said, Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, St. Peter

Funny that dudley seems to think he favours the saints.

Either way he should not be umpiring saints games.

Didn't see the game live but watched the replay today . A wins a win but I thought we were pretty sloppy with our disposal & fumbled a lot . Pressure was good & our fitness level is way better than it was last year so we run games out really well. I was over all happy but we need to improve on that effort next week against the Giants on their own dung heap or we might not get to win 5 in a row.

https://www.afl.com.au/news/745670/five ... armwrestle

"ON A NIGHT where it was all about Toby Greene, Leon Cameron and Greater Western Sydney, St Kilda has stood up under the bright lights of Friday night football at Manuka Oval and ground out a 17-point win to notch up a fifth straight victory for the first time since 2011.

The Giants piled on the pressure in the final quarter, but the Saints were able to hold on to emerge victorious in the 8.12 (60) to 10.17 (77) contest.

The Saints haven’t been 5-1 since 2010 when they ended up getting as close to an elusive second premiership as they have ever been, drawing the Grand Final against Collingwood before losing the replay seven days later.

But they are now."

I love watching Gresh playing team footy. I love it when he takes responsibility and he has a ping from difficult angles in the pockets. He is a very talented footballer close to goal and he knows where the big sticks are. I emphasise ‘close’ to goal

The thing about Gresham is that he has strengths and he is a great asset to the team, but in a final or maybe even ……(shhhhhhhh) in a grand final you can’t make too many errors. They will cost you and the best teams will hurt you on turnovers.

When Gresh doesn’t do the team thing and when he tries to kick goals from 55m out he may as well just hand the footy over to the opposition. When there are defenders in front of you on the last line you cannot shoot for goal if you can’t make the distance. Either kick it to the hotspot or look for a leading target

He needs clear instruction from the forwards coach and he needs to be disciplined and just understand his limitations.
