Re: Training gossip
Have also seen this rumour floating around on Twitter and amongst various FB groups today.
Seems so many people are posting about it there must be truth to it.

Tim Fernando
@TimFernandoITPB
Seeing Brad Hill may have rolled his ankle at training today, hopefully not too bad
Jimmy Webster also seems to have fallen victim to H&S protocols so could be a couple of changes this week for the saints

Re: Training gossip
I can confirm Hill hurt his ankle at training...went off and did not reappear.
Webster did not train.
Jones in full training and looked good.
Hayes initially in white training jumper...changed to black half way through! Long and Higgins in black...Lienert, Windhager, Byrnes and Wood in white.

Re: Training gossip
The “black & white” training jumpers-at-training turned out to be a fair indicator this far of selection- correct?Scoop wrote: ↑Wed 13 Apr 2022 2:41pm I can confirm Hill hurt his ankle at training...went off and did not reappear.

Lienert and Windy in white, a tad surprised, but now with Hill and Webster down (if it turns out to be true), then I suppose Highmore comes up, and Byrnes for Hill?
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Training gossip
Well black tends to mean guaranteed to play. Whites are possibiles, though basically this is everyone who is fit to play. Was Campbell in white?
If Hayes is in, then Campbell would be unlikely unless they say left out Wood. Ad Wood has been pretty good this season.

Re: Training gossip
From what I've seen so far this year, those in black (usually 18-20 players) have always played seniors in the upcoming game. The rest have come from the whites.
Campbell was in white.
Campbell was in white.

Re: Training gossip
Additionally, two of our NGA kids were training with the group this morning. One of them, Cam McKenzie, looks a very likely type!!
Edit: I believe the other kid may have been Harry Sheezel, a dangerous small forward, who is part of the AFL Academy. I don't believe he is part of our NGA...happy to be corrected! Also he is tipped to go as high as top 10 in the draft...maybe top 5!!!

Hill update on BF from Stavro:
Btw I just ran into Hill.
Ankle is fine according to him.
It was taped. But moving without issues.

Of all weeks I hope we aren't derailed by the AFLs outrageously unjustifiable covid protocols. It's less than the bloody flu and most people who test positive don't even know they have got it.

Re: Training gossip
Fwiw, probably nought, Jimmy copped several heavy knocks, so ok to let him rest.
As we all know the blacks v white symbolism so do opposition scouts. Some bluffing going on?

Listen here Bert and Ernie you may think this is fun but it’s just sad. God I hope your 12 years old and not an adult cause that would be embarrassing for you.SunnyErnie wrote: ↑Wed 13 Apr 2022 6:29pmsyndesmosis - 8 weeksBrunswicksainter wrote: ↑Wed 13 Apr 2022 2:29pm Have also seen this rumour floating around on Twitter and amongst various FB groups today.
